Is Kyrie Irving’s girlfriend Chantel Jeffries back?

Have you heard the name Chantel Jeffries before?  Well, it probably rings a bell for us, because we’ve seen her name over and over linked to professional athletes.  While the voracity of reports hasn’t been confirmed, we’ve seen rumors of her linked to guys like Kevin Durant, Johnny Manziel, and DeSean Jackson.  Worst of all?  Bieber.

But, much like some of those names, it’s not entirely clear how long these two dated for, if they ever even did.  Chantel Jeffries is a famous enough model to see her name floated in various rumors.  Beyond a few gossip site posts, it’s unclear if there ever was anything here a few years back.

Fast forward to the 2018 offseason, and Kyrie had a date night with Chantel.  The two were affectionate as they went to see the Incredibles 2.  This was their second public showing together after previously going to a club opening in early June.  So are these two now official?  Well folks, there’s only one way to find out. Kyrie Irving’s girlfriend Gabrielle Lexa formerly danced for the Atlanta Hawks but now lives in Los Angeles. I watched a dancer interview from the Hawks website with her. They asked her some light questions designed to inspire her creativity. She said she would travel back to the 1950’s if she had a time machine.  Gotta be inspired by Back to the Future, right?

Kyrie Irving’s girlfriend now resides in Los Angeles, as I mentioned above. She also mentioned she held back her tears for Steph’s wedding. However, she wasn’t talking about Stephen Curry because he married in 2011. She said she was a bridesmaid so I think she just meant she attended her friend Stephanie’s wedding and had to hold back tears.

Anyway, Kyrie Irving’s girlfriend might to move to Boston now.  According to reports, this couple may be coming up on a year together.  If she wants to spend any significant time with him at all, it seems like the best option. Otherwise, they will almost never see each other since she lives in Los Angeles. Gabrielle strikes me as something of an emotional person. She frequently shares melodramatic posts on social media. For example, she mentioned in her last post in May that she pours all her love into relationships with friends and family and often neglects herself. Gabrielle then stated things were about to get very real on her social media and suggested people to unfollow her if they weren’t really interested in her as a person. That was her last post! No more drama shares?

Kyrie Irving’s girlfriend Kehlani Parrish is a legitimate R&B talent. When things were good, they were great.  He said that nothing else matters when he’s with her (what about your NBA career?). Irving then said that’s when he knew he had someone special, and her response was that he’d shown her so much in so little time and restored her faith in a lot of things. Oh boy, we were dealing with some romance writers.

Here’s where things get less romantic. Kyrie Irving’s girlfriend Kehlani Parrish was accused of cheating on the Cavs star after some Instagram sleuthing found her back with an ex boyfriend.  The two split, and what was once a public romance became a semi-public split.  Kehlani was so devestated by the rumors that she went to Instagram to announce that she “wanted to leave this earth.” Kehlani reportedly attempted suicide by slashing her wrists after a rough day on the Internet accusing her of infidelity. Heavy stuff, and a reminder of how dangerous things can be.

Kyrie Irving has a laundry list of other girls linked to him.  A model named Natalia Garibotto was one of the first women we saw attached to Kyrie, and in our book, remains the best.  Stunning, interesting, and I doubt she’s ever even met Bieber.  The couple was together around 2014, though again, the timeline gets fuzzy with the more recent and dramatic relationships.

Kyrie was once linked to Doc Rivers daughter, in late 2014, though that was never confirmed.  Neither Kyrie or Callie Rivers ever commented or posted about it on social media.  He’s also been linked to others, and has been through a paternity suit with a woman named Andrea Wilson.

Paul George’s girlfriend Jessica Burciaga followed in the wake of Callie. Miss Burciaga posed for the February 2009 issue of Playboy and was their Playmate of the Month. However, at the time we did not have concrete evidence they formed a real relationship. The only evidence that existed was the fact that Paul George posted a picture of Jessica. At that time, we said that “sent the internet buzzing.” I guess the point is that Jessica Burciaga is beautiful and Paul would be lucky to know her.

These two were destined to arrive back here, and this time it looks like it’s gonna stick.  The two dated in 2013, and Daniela got pregnant with their daughter Olivia.  At the time, wild rumors were flying, and a heated custody battle took place.  The two amicably settled their case, agreeing both would be a part of their daughter’s life.

Fast forward three years later, and Paul George’s girlfriend Daniela is once again his girlfriend.  She’s the one who attained the #WCW status.  The happy family is in fact growing now, with Daniela pregnant with the couple’s second child.  The whole family appears to have made the moves to OKC and now LA.  For his part, Paul is definitely in, and now publicly sharing their happy family with the social media world.

Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend Samie Amos is a Duke University volleyball player. Now we should point out that this one came in hot to the PlayerWives.com tip line, and there’s a bit of connecting the dots taking place here. A reader pointed this relationship out to us. She comes from Pittsburgh, the city of her birth and now attends Duke.  But before we dive further, we should also clarify it’s pretty clear this relationship is kaput at this time.

Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend situation is a little complex.

Now here’s where things get complicated.  On January 13, 2018, Jayson Tatum proudly introduced the world to his new son, Jayson Christopher Tatum.  Deuce!  Kid is a legend in Boston a couple years later.  However, even then, it was clear that Samie Amos is not the little man’s father.  Samie played a full season of Volleyball at Duke last fall, while also posting very not pregnant pictures in the weeks around Deuce’s introduction to the world.  At the time, we realized there was a spectrum of possibilities.   They continued being friendly via social media, frequently commenting on the other’s posts.  Samie loyally tweeted about the Celtics savior often.   Her Twitter bio pic was the two of them together, and she even recently commented on an article about them dating.  Since it’s tough to pinpoint the start of their relationship, it’s probably not fair to speculate on how they got there.  Whatever the status of their relationship is, congratulations to Jayson for the birth of his son.

Our confusion was later clarified.  Deuce’s mother was not in fact Sami Amos, but was a woman named Toriah Lachelle.  And from the public appearances, there does appear to be some overlap in timeline.  For her part, Sami took to Instagram to let it be known that Jayson Tatum blew it.  SportsGossip.com screenshot the commnet

Back Before the Drama

Since Jayson Tatum attended Duke and entered the NBA, Samie stayed back on Tobacco Road. She will graduate in 2020, according to her personal profile. According to her official school bio, She is also older than Jayson. Samie was born in 1997 while Jayson was born in 1998. Three days after the Boston Celtics selected Jayson in the 2017 NBA Draft, Samie appeared on social media in an official Celtics jacket. The caption read “guess I’m a Celtics fan now”. Jayson himself commented with multiple shamrocks. In fact, he comments with emojis on almost every post she puts up.

Way back in April of 2015, Sports Illustrated wrote an article about Jayson. In it, the author mentions how fans of Jayson wondered who his girlfriend is. The article does not mention Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend because Jayson did not yet attend Duke. However, the author details Jayson’s high school basketball success at length. It mention how his entire extended family attended every one of his games. At one game, his grandmother arrived early to “stake out” a good seat. Did Samie’s family go to all of her high school games?

Back in May of 2014, an article by Trib Live talked about Samie’s decision to attend Duke. Of particular note is the fact she committed to Duke after completing just half a high school career. She said in the article, “I didn’t imagine committing to a school this early on.” She added the school and coaches impressed her enough to decide. Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend also mentioned the other school she considered was Penn State. That makes sense since she frequently expresses her love of Pittsburgh. Attending Penn State means you are only 138 miles from the city rather than 476. In the article, her high school coach also said Samie came from tennis to volleyball practice and never missed one a practice.

Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend visited Boston on November 17. She posted a video on Storrow Drive while she visited. She also mentioned that she’s “obsessed” with the city. Earlier in November, the Duke Volleyball Twitter page shared a video of Samie. She visited a girl named Madelyn in the hospital. The girl was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma, so Samie and teammate Kincey Smith came to pay her a visit and cheer her up. Samie slapped Madelyn a high-five and lifted her spirits. Will Samie move to Boston after she graduates?

Steph Curry’s wife Ayesha Curry has to be at the top of any list of the coolest wives in the NBA.

The Curry’s took to YouTube to spin their own version of 0 to 100/The Catch Up, by Drake. The original just happens to have a shoutout to Steph, saying “I been Steph Curry with the shot. Been cookin’ with the sauce, chef, curry with the pot, boy,” While it’s definitely the most viewed video on her channel, Ayesha Alexander is no newcomer to YouTube. She owns a relatively successful channel with dozens of videos. Ayesha’s YouTube biography tells the world:

I’m Canadian born and raised in Charlotte, NC. I’m 24 years old (now 25), a wife and mommy currently living in San Francisco. My family is my heartbeat and I’ve been blessed to be able to stay at home, raise my little girl, Riley, and be a loving wife to my husband, Stephen. I love the Lord, food, and my family.

The classy marriage move

Steph Curry’s wife Ayesha Curry married the best player in the NBA on July 30, 2011. While his wedding is noteworthy unto itself, it’s the couple’s selfless gesture that really caught our attention.

PlayerWives.com has literally spent hundreds of hours researching the wives and girlfriends of professional athletes. Occasionally, our research will lead us to wedding registries of the athlete’s we’re reviewing. Dan Haren, Josh Beckett, Jay Cutler and of course Brian McCann all had wedding registries readily available for the public to find and shop on. Hell, Jose Bautista had a baby registry online. If you ask us, the days of tough economies and 500 point losses on the DOW, it comes across as poor taste multi-millionaires to be registering for gravy boats and wine glasses.

But, for what it’s worth, apparently Steph Curry and his wife agreed with us.

In one of the classier moves we’ve seen reported in recent memory, the newlyweds asked guests to donate to www.ThanksUSA.org in lieu of wedding gifts for the newlyweds. ThanksUSA supports active duty military personnel across all branches of the military, by awarding scholarships to their children and spouses.

Besides a YouTube channel and doing cool things for Charity, Stephen Curry’s wife is a self proclaimed actress, model, singer and musician according to her website. At the age of 4, she was cast to appear in the Tim Allen Christmas flick, The Santa Clause, but her parents decided she was too young and held off on her acting career. She ultimately began her modeling career in her teens, appearing in various print campaigns. She has made various acting appearances on a few TV shows, most notably being Hannah Montana.

Steph and Ayesha began dating in 2007. Together they have two daughters, Riley Curry and Ryan Carson Curry.  But, Riley and Ryan won’t rule the roost for long, as their little brother Canon W. Jack Curry was born in July of 2018.

Kawhi Leonard’s girlfriend Kishele Shipley moved from California to San Antonio for the big fella’ around December of 2014. Their new life together is starting to get real. Once you move to a new city for someone, you’ve really committed to them– Will from “Good Will Hunting” style. Big play for young Kishele.  But, I think it’s a smart move because Kawhi is known to be a very loyal young man.

If you remember your PlayerWives.com history, we once wrote about some chick not being his girlfriend back in June of 2014. A picture of him comparing hand size to a girl went sort of viral, and people ran with it.  When we denounced that it really wasn’t her, we didn’t have anyone who backed up as the official girlfriend. We said we’d keep you posted about girlfriends cropping up in that article.  So we’re here now to inform you. Also, part of the purpose of that post was to marvel at the size of the guy’s hands.  I mean have you seen them?  It’s insane.  His hands are absolutely gigantic. You’d think he has some kind of weird hand disease based on the size of them because each finger is like an extra limb. Anyway, those hands now associate exclusively with Miss Shipley. Kawhi Leonard’s girlfriend is from San Diego, and they met while Kawhi was attending SDSU.

So what does the ultra private Kawhi Leonard do with his girlfriend?

One thing we can tell you about the activities these two engage in (since the rest of the internet seems to know next to nothing) is that they do go out to clubs and dance and do all that fun early-stage relationship stuff. They’re not complete hermits like everyone on the internet seems to think. Yes, they’re both relatively shy, but it’s more about them not wanting to talk with people they don’t already know (like fans and the media) rather than them being misanthropic. You’ve got to appreciate sports couples like this because they’re not into the spotlight. Kishele is mostly a home body, though, and the same could be said of Kawhi. Kishele has taken a recent interest in home decoration and design, saving all kinds of interior ideas on her Pinterest account. It can certainly be said that she has big plans for her and Kawhi making a happy home together!

Chris Paul’s wife Jada Paul accompanied him to South Africa for the first ever NBA game in Africa. While there, Chris and Jada visited the Apartheid Museum. Chris held a ticket that read “whites”.  Jada held a ticket that read “non-whites” in order to show what it’s like to be segregated by skin color. It’s a fairly poignant image.

Paul and Jada married in September of 2011.  The nuptials took place in an extravagant ceremony at Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge in Charlotte, NC. Both Chris and Jada wanted to return to their home state to have the ceremony accessible for close friends and family. They had their first child together, Christopher Emmanuel Paul II, on May 23, 2009 and their second their second child, Camryn Alexis Paul, was born on August 16, 2012.

Chris Paul just surrounds himself with cool people. LeBron James is one of his best friends. I’ve thought for a long time that the duo of Chris and Blake Griffin are two of the coolest dudes in the NBA. The same is true for Chris and his Jada. Chris Paul’s wife has a wonderful sense of humor and never misses a chance to make people smile. Witness her charming christmas sweater. The couple just bought a posh 10,000 square foot mansion in Calabasas, California in December that I’ve taken a look at. It’s part of a gated and guarded community with trained dogs and the whole walkie-talkie security thing happening. It sort of reminds me of Jabba’s Palace but in a pretty way. The mansion used to belong to Avril Lavigne and was bought by Paul for $8,995,000.

One of the more interesting stories about Chris Paul’s wife and him happened back in the days when Donald Sterling was still the owner of the Clippers. He threw a party and hired a Marilyn Monroe impersonator for the occasion. During the party, the Marilyn impersonator tried to coax Blake and Paul on the stage so she could give them a sexy dance and serenade. They both declined. According to Chris, Vinny Del Negro ended up taking that bullet for the team. Then, Sterling brought Chris up on stage and said to the crowd (which included Jada) that he didn’t know why Chris was married since there’s so many beautiful women in Los Angeles. Chris then said, “Because I love my wife.” Blake Griffin said of the whole thing that, “it was awkward, to put it nicely.” Oy ve!

These days, Chris Paul’s wife Jada Crawley Paul lives the good life with him and their sons. On Halloween, she dressed up in a rather exquisite Snow White dress. In August, Jada took little Camryn with her to get a strange green goo poured on their feet. It was a pedicure that she said felt like warm applesauce but smelt good. Hey, sounds alright to me. Pour on the green applesauce! Jada also celebrated Brendyn’s first day in 1st grade in September of last year by posting a photo of him holding a sign that said “1st grade.” Their family’s growing up fast!

Michael Jordan’s wife Yvette Prieto gave birth to the GOAT’s fourth and fifth kids in February, 2014.  After having three older kids with his first wife, Yvette gave birth to Ysabel and Victoria Jordan to round out the Jordan starting 5.  In one of those “this is gonna make you feel old,” moments, MJ became a grandfather in 2019.  His elder daughter, Jasmine, had a son with Rakeen Christmas (a professional basketball player in Turkey).  Kid has pretty sick lineage!

UPDATE: 04/29/2013:

While we still don’t know if the prior update rumor was true, we do know now that Yvette Prieto is Michael Jordan’s wife. The couple married in a small ceremony over the weekend in front of 300 guests. The reception took place at a golf course near where Jordan lives and had entertainment by Usher and, well honestly, after Usher, who cares who else was there.

Michael Jordan began dating Yvette Prieto in July, 2008. Prieto is a 31 year old Cuban American model, who previously dated Julio Iglesias Jr. We should also note, that despite internet rumors, they did not get married in December, 2008, and were not expecting a child in February, 2009. As of April, 2013, the couple has filed for a marriage license and the expectation is that they will be married any day.

Late 2008, Jordan and Prieto bought a 5,500 square foot home in suburban Miami. They took out a 30 year mortgage worth $196,000. It’s believed that they took out this mortgage as a way to rebuild Prieto’s credit after she filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2002.
SIDE NOTE RANT: You want to know why everyone hates bloggers? It’s because of guys like Kevin Allen at the Chicago Sun Times. Allen, who I’m sure is a guy that would dispute the fact that he’s nothing more than a blogger, not only posted the address of their new house, but a friggin google map to the place. We’ve been accused of crossing the boundaries of newsworthiness to intrusiveness, but that is a whole new level of invasion. Even we think that’s messed up.

This one came as a surprise, because man, we’ve come a long way.  Nothing like breaking news on your own snapchat that you’re dating one of the three best basketball players in the world.  BlackSportsOnline found out about the snaps and hunted her down.  Cassandra is friends with Doc Rivers’ daughter, Callie Rivers.   She played volleyball with Callie at Florida.  Clearly having a penchant for sunshine and attractive people, Cassandra has flipped coasts.  She currently works as a realtor in California for Berkshire Hathaway.  BSO seems to indicate they’ve known each other for a while, so maybe this one sticks?

Regardless, we echo their sentiments:

This is the latest entry in the Kevin Durant girlfriend listing.  Their pairing was first brought to public attention in March, 2017, when Durant went down with his MCL injury.  TerezOwens cited a source saying they had been together all season.  The validity of the rumor was quickly shot down, when BlackSportsOnline put the pieces together that they did not meet until the All Star Game, and even then was strictly professional.  Amassing nearly 400k Instagram followers, and modeling a Kevin Durant uniform made it a fun pairing.  Alas, fake rumors and unconfirmed pairings are part of the life for professional athletes.

Now, the internet seems to chirp that KD and Jasmine may wind up getting married.  Whether or not there’s any truth to that certainly remains to be seen.  But as we previously noted, KD has a fascination with rings, and included Monica Wright in this passion project.  Let me summarize why that relationship did not work out: he wasn’t totally feeling it. He told GQ that he loved her but not in the right way.   Honestly?  Good for him.  How can you not respect someone for making that decision before the wedding, and things go sour.  I respect that move.

Dai Frazier is a young, fantastically attractive woman who comes from Washington D.C. At least, she calls DC her hometown. However, that seems to be in question from one of her friends. I refer to a recent post Dai put up where her friend from Dallas jokingly insisted she represent Dallas as her home town team. This suggests she spent some time in the Texas city. Regardless, Terez Owens first broke the story of them dating. Mr. Durant is an old hand at this by now.

Based on what TO’s source said, Kevin introduced Dai to his mother. If you know about Kevin Durant’s girlfriend at the moment, you likely also know about Kevin’s mother. They made a movie about the lady! She’s like the darling of Lifetime channel. So let’s talk a bit more about Dai’s daily activities. She regularly posts modeling shots on her social media. They look legit too. She sometimes appears in New York City, which I recognize by sight pretty quickly. She also attended the movie premier of The Space Between Us. That happened in Los Angeles.

Like we said from the jump.  There have been plenty of other names tossed around as rumored companions for the star.  Ashley Champ was rumored to have been his girlfriend somewhere between Monica Wright and Jasmine Shine.  Also, filed under the “Fun Celeb Pairing,” category land Letoya Luckett and Chantel Jeffries.  Neither one was ever confirmed, but were at one time linked to KD.

Kevin Durant has everything going for him.  Maybe settling down, and having a wife and kids isn’t on his radar right now.  Whatever his choice, we respect it.  If he ever does settle down, we’ll have it right here.

Back in May of 2014, we wrote about Adam Silver and his then girlfriend Maggie Grise. Well, Adam Silver’s wife Maggie Grise married him in May of 2015. So we missed the wedding by a year, but we knew about the lady ahead of time, at least. Maggie is an interior designer in New York City. She pays very close attention to the overall form and function of apartments. She thinks deeply about how best to arrange them and what should go in them. It’s a cool occupation, and I can tell she’s very good at it. Previously, I looked at some of her work on a website, and it was impressive.

Adam Silver’s wife developed a relationship with him since at least the start of 2014. I believe it started at least back in 2013. In a candid interview with Matt Lauer, Mr. Silver revealed his marriage plans about a month before they were to take place. Then, he revealed he wished to have children with Maggie! It seemed a bit surprising for the personal quality of the interview, but these are very human wishes and desires, of course. The NBA Commissioner is human, folks! Anyway, the wedding took place in May of of 2015, as planned.

Since they both value their privacy, no wedding pictures appear on the internet. However, Adam Silver’s wife appeared with him at the White House at a state dinner. The dinner honored the Prime Minister of Canada and his wife. It looked very fancy. Maggie dressed in a lovely blue gown, and Adam wore a tuxedo. I don’t know why Adam was invited, but it might simply have been because former President Obama is a basketball fan. The couple approached their one-year anniversary when the dinner took place in March of 2016. Since that time, they celebrated two years married and look very strong and stable!

Jaylen Brown’s girlfriend Jacqueline Hawileh started turning heads around the 2019 NBA All Star Weekend.

Now, we’re not saying that Jaylen Brown’s girlfriend was at All-Star weekend, because of course, Jaylen wasn’t there either.  But right after that break, he was elected as VP of the NBAPA.  With that election came a little more national publicity, and with that, the bells went off.  The usual sites SportsGossip.com and TerezOwens were first with the details.

The woman reported to be Jaylen Brown’s girlfriend is a celebrity in her own right.   We’ll touch on why we say reported in a moment.  Jacqueline Hawileh is an Instagram model claiming 18,000 followers.   She is not prolific spamming and flooding Instagram with new posts.  It’s kind of a nice change of pace from the average Instagram model.  She does love a good IG story, but hey, who doesn’t??

There’s not a ton of evidence about the two of them as a couple.   Like we mentioned, there was first news of this around the All Star break.  But beyond that not a ton.  Jacqueline does have one post where she’s posing from outside a lower level tunnel at a Celtics game.  But that’s about the extent of it.

SportsGossip was tipped off to the relationship, and has one shot of the two of them partnered up.

Right.  We’re not entirely sure this relationship exists now, existed then, or ever existed at all.  That cuts both ways.  It may have for sure.  But, it’s impossible to tell.  This is hung up on one reader tip to a sports blog, and one picture together.  And, maybe one Celtics game she went to.  They both have a carefully manufactured social media presence, likely either guided, or straight up managed by a third party.  Neither has any evidence of the other, outside of reciprocating follows.  Jacqueline’s Facebook lists her a single, so that can’t be completely ignored.

Are they together?  We certainly can’t tell for sure.

Dwane Casey’s wife Brenda Casey is the mom to the Raptors’ coach two kids.  Justine and Zachary were born in 2008 and 2011 respectively.  Dwane was already deep into his coaching career, serving as an assistant coach in Dallas when both kids were born.

Heading North of the Border

Since his time in Dallas, Dwane has moved to Toronto as the head coach.  Dwane has become the king of the North, unfortunately, until the year before they won the title.  During that time, it pretty much makes the Casey’s the first family.  And, the family really seemed to love living in the city of Toronto, it seems. Dwane has said Toronto is the best NBA city ahead of other cities like New York (which he ranked second), Dallas, and Los Angeles. I’m not sure how I feel about that, but I do know Brenda is enjoying her life as a mom and NBA wife.  I wonder where Detroit ranks now?

In an interview with the Toronto Star, Dwane said that his wife Brenda would say he cries any time he goes to the movies. I think that’s a pretty powerful statement, especially for an NBA coach. You cry every time you go to the movies, ey? Brenda married an emotional guy, I guess. It was actually a fairly revealing interview: Dwane said his biggest regret was not being able to save Eddie Griffin from dying (he died in a car crash and led a hectic life). That’s pretty intense, and a tip of the iceburg in a fascinating read.

Anyway, what can we say about Brenda– she’s a very nice lady who was one of the three ice bucket-dumpers in Dwane’s ice bucket challenge. She made him come back so Zach could dump his little bucket of ice on him after the main ice dump. Brenda is also a sports marketing executive (or she used to be) and one of her clients was Ben Wallace. Basketball runs deep in the family.  Dwane Casey’s wife played for much of her life, so she understands it as well as any coach’s wife. Brenda certainly seems like the ideal coach wife and mom with that kind of background.

Nikola Jokic’s girlfriend Natalija Macesic lives in Denver with him.

But, she’s an international traveler!

She traveled to London with Nikola while his Denver Nuggets took on the Indiana Pacers there. Games in London are not uncommon in 2017’s NBA. However, logistically they are still too difficult for a full-time team to establish a presence. Anyway, Nikola posts some pretty funny pictures of Natalija. He smooshes her face like a small cute dog and comments in Serbian, presumably about how cute she is. She travels everywhere with him when she can, and they routinely go to Serbia to relax and enjoy their home country. Of course, when the season is on, they don’t go there.

Natalija also participates in excellent karaoke for social media. They posted a video of them lip-syncing a Serbian version of a Beach Boys song. It was a splendid performance. Clearly, they enjoy a good laugh because they are funny in that video. In March of 2015, Nikola Jokic’s girlfriend hosted some kind of booth for a physical therapy company. Maybe she worked for the company in Serbia before she moved to the States. The couple almost certainly started to date in high school. Nikola’s photos of them together date back to when he was around 18 years old.

Nikola refers to Natalija as “Ljubav,” which means love. Nikola Jokic’s girlfriend is obviously very important in his life because they stay together through thick and thin. It’s also nice to have someone that speaks your native language. Their photos on social media date all the way back to June of 2013. That means they were together at the age of eighteen. Thus, Natalija serves as a strong support. It’s critical for Nikola to have a good support system because he’s not from here. He feels thankful and happy Natalija can live with him in Denver. Russell Westbrook’s wife Nina Westbrook married him in August of 2015. The two met in high school and are best friends. They grew up together, and she watched him become the player he is today. In April of 2017, Nina celebrated her new pregnancy with some baby showers!  Their first son, Noah was born in the spring of 2017.

The post featured him giving her a playful bite and said he was grateful for her and everything she does. He calls her “Suga” because she’s apparently a sweet lady! Nina celebrated her birthday in December, and again Russell made her a sweet social media post because he loves her so much. He even said honestly “I just hope you love me back” which strikes me as a very human sentiment. Russell included a charming picture of a pregnant Nina smiling and walking. Since Russell wears fancy and stylish clothes and often sets style trends, Nina must also match his level of fashion. Of course, she is interested in fashion and looks very sharp in everything she wears. That even includes her pregnant gear!

In a recent article by Bleacher Report, his teammates said they don’t know what Westbrook’s workouts consist of because he keeps them a secret. As you can imagine, Russell Westbrook’s wife is also a big fan of the gym. She has to take it easy now because of the baby, but you best believe she looks fantastic because of her gym work! This is the most recent lady tied to Harden.  R&B singer Ashanti is reportedly tied to Harden, and it may be more serious than one might expect.   TerezOwens.com indicates that Harden put Ashanti up in a Houston hotel, and sat her with his family at a recent playoff game.  For a man who’s dated famous women the majority of his playing career, settling down with Ashanti is a nice retirement from the game.  WHo knows how long this one holds on for, but if Terez’s sources are spot on, we may be seeing Ashanti ‘Rock wit u’ for the foreseeable future.

Long before she had Tristan Thompson’s baby, Khloe Kardashian dated James Harden in 2015-2016.   The couple did a solid job keeping things under wraps for a while, but with both of their paparazzi followings, folks were bound to find out eventually.  Khloe is one of a very small group of people in the world whose star may shine brighter than Harden’s.  I mean, do I need to give you her resume.  She’s crazy famous from the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s.  From an outsiders perspective, she seems to have wound up the most normal one from the show.  She’s certainly trying to branch out, appearing in various TV projects (plus a dope interview on The Howard Stern Show).

If she continues to gain followers she will continue to catch deals. Since she appears to know exactly what kind of photos her followers enjoy, she continues to post them. Color us surprised.  We’d never heard of this one till tonight.  Apparently in 2014, Tahiry Jose took a picture with Harden at a club, and people put these two together.  For those that don’t know, including us 12-15 minutes ago, Tahiry Jose is a reality star from Love & Hip Hop. And look, we’re clearly the outliers here.  Tahiry has nearly 2,000,000 followers on Instagram.  She has almost a dozen non-reality credits to her name, so clearly pays the bills working as an actress.  Jose had a relationship with rapper Joe Budden immediately preceding this alleged relationship.

This one appears to have flamed out with the same minimal fanfare that it started.  Whether or not it was anything more than an incidental encounter or two is beyond us.

From 2013-2015, James Harden’s girlfriend was Sarah Bellew.  Before asking if you should know who Sarah Bellew is, we’ll let you know now.  Yes.  She’s no stranger to dating in a public setting, as she was engaged to Lil Wayne for 5 months after years of dating.  She is the mother to Weezy’s son Dwayne Michael.

As for Harden and Bellew.  There’s not a ton of information about their time together.  It’s fairly consistently reported they were together from 13-15.   But beyond that, not much else.   Some sites refer to her as a radio personality, but there’s not much else out there to back that up.

We’ll give our friends over at Heavy.com the dap on this one.  They put in some serious legwork to piece this one together.

Essentially Gail Golden is a social media presence with nearly 200k followiers, which is what first caught people’s attention.  Folks put together that she’d been court side to a number of Rockets games lately.  The number of games that is more that just “oh that’s interesting.”  There has been some subtle hints and not so subtle non-denials about her relationship status with Harden.  Is it a troll, is it someone enjoying the pandemonium in the streets, or is it James Harden’s girlfriend?  You be the judge.

Khris Middleton’s girlfriend Samantha is the mother of their only daughter.  Audrielle Middleton was born in April of 2019, and is clearly a key figure in their lives.

And, that’s officially the single most obvious thing we’ve ever said on this site.

But seriously.  We do apologize.  But, in our defense, there’s just not a lot to go on here.  From what we’ve ascertained, Khris Middleton’s girlfriend came into the picture somewhere around 2016.  The couple was together about three years before Audrielle entered the scene.  And, while there isn’t much about either on Khris’ social media, he definitely throws them the occasional shoutout, and love.

One could make the easy leap that the couple met at college, as Lillard played his college ball for the Weber State Wildcats.  Of course, all of this was before the Blazers took him with the 6th overall pick in the 2012 draft.  Lillard immediately took over in the Pacific Northwest, but is still working to make a bigger name for himself to the rest of the country.  And launching a game winning 40 foot three pointer to close a playoff series will certainly help.

Damian Lillard’s girlfriend is in fact about to become Damian Lillard’s wife.  During the 2020 All Star Weekend, Dame finally officially popped the question at a private party with friends and family.  Little did anyone know that COVID was about to shut down the world as we know it, so wedding plans are likely in a holding pattern for now.  But, given the relative privacy of their relationship to date, it’s not surprising that neither is on social media chatting up their dates and locations.  Whenever the nuptials do wind up taking place it’ll be well deserved for both parties.  They’ve been in it for the long haul, and are clearly one of those athlete relationships that’s going to work.

Oh, right.  That’s why you’re here.  Well, we’ve briefly touched on a couple topics.  Deja went to Temple, where she was committed to the athletic department.  She was a dancer for the Temple University Gems.  While pursuing a degree in Sports Management, she also worked as a recruitment ambassador, and full on recruiter for the Temple basketball team.

That Sports Management degree has come in handy, helping her land a job as an Account Exec with the Cavs.  But, prior to her stint in the NBA she was an intern at ROC Sports.  Not a bad way to break into the business.  But, this isn’t her first connection to a music label.

Who knows the name Chris Lighty?

Me! Me!  And anyone who’s a fan of late-90’s, early 00’s hip hop knows who he is.  Hell, even if you don’t know who he is, you know who his clients were.  50 Cent.  Busta Rhymes.  Diddy.  Mariah Carey.  Ja Rule.  Nas.  Mobb Deep.  He co founded the Violator label.  This dude was a big deal in the music industry, and so it’s no surprise to see his daughter Deja making her own mark.  Sadly, during an argument with his ex-wife, Chris Lighty committed suicide in 2012.  From the New York Daily News

Lighty — a longtime manager who worked with the likes of 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Diddy, Ja Rule and Mariah Carey — walked away from the argument after declaring “I’m tired of this,” before shooting himself in the head behind his South Riverdale home about 11:30 a.m., the sources said.

Cops found Lighty, 44, the founder and chief of Violator Management, lying faceup on the basement patio in a pool of blood with a 9-mm. pistol at his side, the sources said.

The shocking suicide followed a wild spat between Lighty and his 36-year-old wife, Veronica, who filed for divorce last year.

Donovan Mitchell’s girlfriend Deja is definitely doing her father proud now.  I wonder if they ever decide to do something about that Cleveland to Salt Lake City distance?  Time will tell.

Update 2020:

Clearly, it didn’t work out.  Rumors have it that as of fall, 2019, these two had called it off.  It’s not entirely shocking given their distance, but they really did seem into each other.  We’ll keep an eye out what springs up next for Spida Mitchell.

Was Jimmy Butler’s girlfriend Miley Cyrus? Everyone wanted to know what the deal was about this in 2014. Apparently, they hit it off really well at the B96 Summer Bash in June of 2013. I think they were never even close to a couple because both were completely silent about it. Beyond pure speculation, there was probably nothing substantial between them at all. Still, the idea of Jimmy and Miley together was too much for the internet to ignore at the time. People love the idea of it.

Jimmy Butler’s girlfriend Charmaine Piula actually showed up on social media pictures with him. This appeared to be much more of an actual relationship of sorts because they looked like a couple in pictures together. Charmaine grew up in Utah on the Arizona state line. She worked as a marketing rep for an auto insurance company. That doesn’t sound like a fun job because it involves a lot of complaints! She loves to travel, and she went to Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Cabo. Charmaine struck me as someone with a good sense of humor too.

They even walked away from each other when the cameras showed up. Shay is very popular on the internet, and she starred in the show Pretty Little Liars. She has over 17,000,000 followers on social media. Her social media reminds me of a ritzy lifestyle blog. She’s beautiful and travels all over the world because that’s what tv stars do! No wonder Jimmy likes eating lunch with her since she’s such a big deal.

George Hill’s wife Samantha Garcia is the mother of their child, Zayden. Zayden is most definitely the center of their world. She posts pictures of him constantly, and he is a very photogenic kiddo. Since George must spend a lot of time away from home during the season, he is very happy every time he sees his family. Recently, both George and Zayden posed on a carousel, and the kid seemed to like it. Samantha sat their son on a guy in an Easter Bunny costume in March, and she joked about it. He hated posing because it was probably scary to sit on a huge rabbit. However, the picture itself appears funny in her social media feed.

I can tell George Hill’s wife appreciates him as much as he appreciates her. He recently wished her happy birthday in February. When he did so, he told thanked her for all the hours she helped him and for being an amazing woman. He tries hard to make her happy when he isn’t playing basketball, and he surprised her on her birthday. The birthday party they threw for Zayden’s first birthday, however, is another story entirely. George spared no expense in cake and balloons and all the party extras. They even took some pretty professional looking photographs of him next to the birthday cake. Of course, he ate the cake with his hands and made a mess of himself. That’s what one year-olds do!

Samantha likes to read a book of daily positive quotes. She applies them well because her family life looks fun and happy. On Christmas, George Hill’s wife and him dressed in matching festive pajamas and opened presents with their child. The tree was enormous, and naturally there were stacks of presents for all. Before Christmas, in October, the family traveled to a large ski resort in Utah to hit the slopes. If you like to ski and play pro basketball, it helps to live in a state like Utah or Colorado. Samantha doesn’t actually ski, but she attempted snowboarding. In my opinion, that is one of the hardest sports because staying upright is a huge challenge. She thought so too! Hey, at least she got out there!

A wedding where it all began

In August of 2018, George and Samantha tied the knot in a star studded affair back in San Antonio.  George’s NBA career began there, so the roots to the area definitely make sense.  Plenty of teammates and friends attended and documented the night across social media.

Brad Stevens’ wife Tracy Stevens married him in in 2003.  It feels like he’s been at the helm of this young Boston team forever, even if it’s only been four years.  Tracy Stevens, on the other hand, has been with him forever.

They’ve known each other since college and both attended the weirdly named DePauw College (not Depaul if you’re wondering). According to his friends, Brad took Tracy on a first date to a high school basketball game. You read that right.  Their first date.  Was to a high school basketball game.  And, not a high school basketball game at a high school they went to together.  Not only was it a high school basketball game, but it was also 90 minutes away.  Yikes, Brad.  The face that Tracy stuck in there says a lot.  This sounds like a ROUGH first date.  But hey, she married the guy and now has a couple kids with him.  He was obsessed with game tape and studying by that time. Tracy liked his discipline and passion for the game.

Now of course Tracy is a big Celtics fan. She roots for them every chance she gets because her husband is the head coach and was given a long six-year contract to grow the team. But Brad Stevens’ wife is also a fan of his former employer, Butler, and she uses every opportunity she can on social media to cheer them on. Butler University in Indiana was their home from 2001 to 2013 so you can imagine how attached they both were to the school. Living in Indiana is a bit different from living in Boston. Larry Bird could’ve told them that. The entire family is so attached to Butler, as a matter of fact, that when they asked their kids one place they wanted to visit a year ago, they both set Hinkle Fieldhouse, which is the arena where the Butler Bulldogs play.

Brad and Tracy have a son named Brady and a daughter named Kinsley who are still both very young. They’ve also got a puffy little doggie named Mac who functions as the family mascot. Brad Stevens’ wife Tracy used to love going on vacation with the fam in the college offseason. I say used to because the last documented vacation I know of that they went on was to Hawaii all the way back in 2012. Since becoming a professional NBA coach, these opportunities are harder to find.
