Russell Westbrook’s wife Nina Westbrook married him in August of 2015. The two met in high school and are best friends. They grew up together, and she watched him become the player he is today. In April of 2017, Nina celebrated her new pregnancy with some baby showers!  Their first son, Noah was born in the spring of 2017.

On Valentine’s Day, Russell Westbrook’s wife received a lovely message from him on social media. The post featured him giving her a playful bite and said he was grateful for her and everything she does. He calls her “Suga” because she’s apparently a sweet lady! Nina celebrated her birthday in December, and again Russell made her a sweet social media post because he loves her so much. He even said honestly “I just hope you love me back” which strikes me as a very human sentiment. Russell included a charming picture of a pregnant Nina smiling and walking. Since Russell wears fancy and stylish clothes and often sets style trends, Nina must also match his level of fashion. Of course, she is interested in fashion and looks very sharp in everything she wears. That even includes her pregnant gear!

In a recent article by Bleacher Report, his teammates said they don’t know what Westbrook’s workouts consist of because he keeps them a secret. As you can imagine, Russell Westbrook’s wife is also a big fan of the gym. She has to take it easy now because of the baby, but you best believe she looks fantastic because of her gym work! On their one-year anniversary, Russell again posted a celebration picture and told his “Suga” how happy he is to have her. He seems like a sweet dude once you get past the tough exterior.

NBC 4 in Washington recently undertook the Pulitzer driven task of getting NBA advice from 4 players on the Washington Wizards: Trevor Booker, Roger Mason Jr., Shelvin Mack and Jordan Crawford (who combine for a grand total of 12 starts on the season). While there was a lot of tossaway advice and generic platitudes about how to treat your lady right (buy a Macbook, or write her a letter), there was one response which stuck out.

Second year player Jordan Crawford (most well known for dunking over LeBron James, and having LeBron’s people confiscate the tape of it happening) was surprisingly honest about his Valentine’s Day advice:

I’m the wrong person to talk to about Valentine’s Day. I usually get rid of my shorties around now.

OK then.  Mariah hails from the beautiful city of San Diego, California. Mariah played volleyball at Rice University. Since she graduated and obtained a business degree, she became a certified adult. Mariah is ready to cheer for Giannis from the stands and support him off the court. I wonder if she knows how to prepare Greek cuisine yet? She worked as an operations intern for the Philadelphia 76ers, but she did not keep the job because her relationship with Giannis takes precedent. I’m fairly certain they both reside in Milwaukee now.

Giannis happily provides for his young daughter. While unclear, I don’t think his she came from Giannis Antetokounmpo’s girlfriend. Mariah openly rallied for Giannis to become an all-star. She also keeps in touch with her two younger sisters named Maya and Makayla. She reposted a picture of her sister’s prom photo in February. Naturally, Mariah most commonly posts about Giannis’ career on social media. In January, she joined other player wives and girlfriends in a lunch donation. It served as a photo opportunity for her social media as well.

In January, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s girlfriend also wished him a happy birthday. She told him she loved him and called him Adonis. Well, he’s a gigantic dude so I guess the analogy is sort of accurate, although Adonis was also known for his good looks. She continued the great cheer and support and congratulated him on his all-star selection. She added that he always keeps a smile on her face. This couple is certainly a fun-loving one. She pokes fun at him and calls him a Greek Freak, but she also says he is her best friend and the greatest person she knows. She obviously loves him very much. Mariah says one smile can hide 1000 emotions, but I bet most of her emotions are joyful!

Al Horford’s wife Amelia Vega was Miss Universe in 2003. That’s a claim that almost no man can actually make about his wife. But, can you imagine being at a cocktail party where everyone knows you’ve married one of the few Miss Universe winners? That puts you pretty high on the totem pole.

Since the competition, Al Horford’s wife Amelia Vega has moved to the United States, and lives in Miami where she opened a high end clothing boutique and recently recorded her first album. The store is called Essence and it is located in Little Havana. It has a four star rating on Yelp, but on only five total reviews.

Al and Amelia were married on Christmas Eve of 2011 at her uncle’s home in the Dominican Republic.  Vega’s uncle is Juan Luis Guerra, an award winning singer famous in the D.R.  But, reports indicate that the wedding happened right after Al broke up with his ex-girlfriend, Stefanie Gonzalez.  The guests arrived assuming it was a regular party.  Can you imagine that?  I’m guessing some guests thought that Al Horford was still with his ex-girlfriend Stephanie, only to show up for a wedding to another woman. Sure enough, some places reported that some guests arriving to the party had no idea that Horford and Vega were even engaged.

The wedding clearly came together quickly.  In fact, Al realized on the day of the nuptials that he forgot to get the limo for the big day.  Gulp.  But, even though it took another 5 years for Al to arrive in Boston, another Boston legend came to the rescue.

“We’re down there, and I realize I’m supposed to get a limo for [my wife], to pick her up and take her to where we’re getting married,” Horford says. “And then, obviously being in the Dominican Republic, things never go how they’re supposed to. So three hours before the wedding, we find out that there’s no limo.”

It was also Christmas Eve. 

“I literally freaked out,” Horford remembers. “Nothing’s open, I don’t know what’s going to happen.” 

Eventually he did what one does in the case of Dominican emergencies. He called David Ortiz: “I’m like, ‘Hey man, this is what’s going on. We’re getting married in a couple hours. I need a car. What am I going to do?’”

“Don’t worry,” Ortiz said. “I got you.”

Ortiz wasn’t even on the island at this point, but it didn’t matter. He told Horford to send a friend over to Ortiz’s house to pick up his Rolls-Royce Phantom. “I’ll have it there in 30 minutes,” Ortiz said. “I just gotta get it washed.”

Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend Samie Amos is a Duke University volleyball player. Now we should point out that this one came in hot to the PlayerWives.com tip line, and there’s a bit of connecting the dots taking place here. A reader pointed this relationship out to us. She comes from Pittsburgh, the city of her birth and now attends Duke.

Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend situation is a little complex.

Now here’s where things get complicated.  On January 13, 2018, Jayson Tatum proudly introduced the world to his new son, Jayson Christopher Tatum.  However, it would appear that Samie Amos is not the little man’s father.  Samie played a full season of Volleyball at Duke last fall, while also posting very not pregnant pictures in recent weeks.  There’s a spectrum of possibilities here.   They continue being friendly via social media, frequently commenting on the other’s posts, with Samie loyally tweeting about the Celtics savior often.   Her Twitter bio pic is the two of them together, and she even recently commented on an article about them dating.  Since it’s tough to pinpoint the start of their relationship, it’s probably not fair to speculate on how they got here.  Whatever the status of their relationship is, congratulations to Jayson for the birth of his son.

Since Jayson Tatum attended Duke and entered the NBA, Samie still attends. She will graduate in 2020, according to her personal profile. According to her official school bio, She is also older than Jayson. Samie was born in 1997 while Jayson was born in 1998. Three days after the Boston Celtics selected Jayson in the 2017 NBA Draft, Samie appeared on social media in an official Celtics jacket. The caption read “guess I’m a Celtics fan now”. Jayson himself commented with multiple shamrocks. In fact, he comments with emojis on almost every post she puts up.

Way back in April of 2015, Sports Illustrated wrote an article about Jayson. In it, the author mentions how fans of Jayson wondered who his girlfriend is. The article does not mention Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend because Jayson did not yet attend Duke. However, the author details Jayson’s high school basketball success at length. It mention how his entire extended family attended every one of his games. At one game, his grandmother arrived early to “stake out” a good seat. Did Samie’s family go to all of her high school games?

Back in May of 2014, an article by Trib Live talked about Samie’s decision to attend Duke. Of particular note is the fact she committed to Duke after completing just half a high school career. Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend also mentioned the other school she considered was Penn State. That makes sense since she frequently expresses her love of Pittsburgh. Attending Penn State means you are only 138 miles from the city rather than 476. In the article, her high school coach also said Samie came from tennis to volleyball practice and never missed one a practice.

Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend visited Boston on November 17. She posted a video on Storrow Drive while she visited. She also mentioned that she’s “obsessed” with the city. Earlier in November, the Duke Volleyball Twitter page shared a video of Samie. She visited a girl named Madelyn in the hospital. The girl was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma, so Samie and teammate Kincey Smith came to pay her a visit and cheer her up. Samie slapped Madelyn a high-five and lifted her spirits. Will Samie move to Boston after she graduates?

Markieff Morris’ wife Thereza Morris showed up on various media outlets because he said something interesting. He told the media,

“My wife tells me all the time I’ve got big nuts.”

Those were his words. It seems like a just a little bit of an overshare to me, but at least he’s open, right? The reason for the comment was because he shot some clutch free throws. I guess it helps to bring some levity to post-game interviews. There is all kinds of speculation on the internet about their marriage, but we like to say far away from the speculation game. Based on appearances, they look like a happy couple. Thereza goes by the nickname Pearly. I think she enjoys the nickname because she has pearly white teeth.

We know very little about Markieff Morris’ wife since she keeps a low profile online. He does post pictures of them together on vacations. In May of 2016 they traveled to an exotic tropical location and spent time on a boat. He posted the picture of them on the boat and said she’s in charge. Markieff has a line of clothing called FOE which stands for “Family Over Everything,” and Thereza wears many items of the line at his games. If you peruse his Instagram long enough, you’ll see plenty of #FOE.

Overall, it appears that Markieff Morris’ wife enjoys her new married life. Vacations to exotic locales are always nice. To us, Markieff seems like a cool guy, a good player, and a nice husband. I’m sure Pearly would agree because he wished her a happy FOE day. Markieff likes to take her out to nice restaurants. I am fairly certain Pearly worked or does work as a dental hygienist, but I can’t confirm that. Unfortunately, the most we can confirm,… is that she’s analytical of Markieff’s anatomy. Anyway, Kyrie Irving’s girlfriend might to move to Boston now.  According to reports, this couple may be coming up on a year together.  If she wants to spend any significant time with him at all, it seems like the best option. Otherwise, they will almost never see each other since she lives in Los Angeles. Gabrielle strikes me as something of an emotional person. She frequently shares melodramatic posts on social media. For example, she mentioned in her last post in May that she pours all her love into relationships with friends and family and often neglects herself. Gabrielle then stated things were about to get very real on her social media and suggested people to unfollow her if they weren’t really interested in her as a person. That was her last post! No more drama shares?

Oh boy, we were dealing with some romance writers.

Here’s where things get less romantic. Kyrie Irving’s girlfriend Kehlani Parrish was accused of cheating on the Cavs star after some Instagram sleuthing found her back with an ex boyfriend.  The two split, and what was once a public romance became a semi-public split.  Kehlani was so devestated by the rumors that she went to Instagram to announce that she “wanted to leave this earth.” Kehlani reportedly attempted suicide by slashing her wrists after a rough day on the Internet accusing her of infidelity. Heavy stuff, and a reminder of how dangerous things can be.

Kyrie Irving has a laundry list of other girls linked to him.  A model named Natalia Garibotto was one of the first women we saw attached to Kyrie, and in our book, remains the best.  Stunning, interesting, and I doubt she’s ever even met Bieber.  The couple was together around 2014, though again, the timeline gets fuzzy with the more recent and dramatic relationships.

Kyrie was once linked to Doc Rivers daughter, in late 2014, though that was never confirmed.  Neither Kyrie or Callie Rivers ever commented or posted about it on social media.  He’s also been linked to others, and has been through a paternity suit with a woman named Andrea Wilson.

Kawhi Leonard’s girlfriend Kishele Shipley moved from California to San Antonio for the big fella’ around December of 2014. Their new life together is starting to get real. Once you move to a new city for someone, you’ve really committed to them– Will from “Good Will Hunting” style. If you remember your PlayerWives.com history, we once wrote about some chick not being his girlfriend back in June of 2014. A picture of him comparing hand size to a girl went sort of viral, and people ran with it.  When we denounced that it really wasn’t her, we didn’t have anyone who backed up as the official girlfriend. We said we’d keep you posted about girlfriends cropping up in that article.  So we’re here now to inform you. Also, part of the purpose of that post was to marvel at the size of the guy’s hands.  I mean have you seen them?  It’s insane.  His hands are absolutely gigantic. You’d think he has some kind of weird hand disease based on the size of them because each finger is like an extra limb. Anyway, those hands now associate exclusively with Miss Shipley. One thing we can tell you about the activities these two engage in (since the rest of the internet seems to know next to nothing) is that they do go out to clubs and dance and do all that fun early-stage relationship stuff. On August 8, 2017, news started buzzing. The first news source to notice something was The Mercury News. Abigail shared a picture of a countertop with a bunch of basketballs on it. She also shared a picture of Klay’s dog, Rocco. Abigail said she hadn’t slept that well in a year. Very cute, very clever.

My only question: is Klay Thompson’s girlfriend actually Abigail? If not, it’s a very wily publicity stunt. Let’s end this story before we go further. The internet blew up with this rumor and never looked back. Klay had a party at his house, and invited a lot of people, including Cherise. At the party, he let people spraypaint a deck that he was destroying soon thereafter. Cherise, an LA Rams Cheerleader, took her artwork to Instagram. She wrote on the post “You and me baby sorry my names tagged on your patio.” She then promptly deleted the post. The internet buzzed that they were together.  For his part, Klay went out of his way to deny their involvement. Everything quieted down relatively quickly after that, but certainly the story gained traction.

Well folks, maybe that wife tag was never officially official.  Because, Draymond Green’s is now dating Hazel Renee.    For those who don’t know, Hazel Renee is an actress who’s most prominent role is a recurring stint on the show Empire.  Draymond was stoked enough after game 7 to plant a kiss on her after the game, and the internet ran with it.

From the San Francisco Chronicle, Steve Kerr let it slip that these two were actually engaged in a January, 2019 press conference.  

Although the pair have yet to make an official announcement, Kerr said after the Warriors’ morning shootaround that the weekend in Los Angeles was a busy one for Green and Renee.

“The time’s been great,” Kerr said in response to a reporter who asked how the extended L.A. road trip went for the team. “A nice change of pace during the middle of the season, especially in mid-January. Beautiful weather here and lot of guys have brought family members. Draymond got engaged. A lot of great stuff.”

Draymond Green’s girlfriend Jelissa K. Hardy was a hard person to track down. People on the Internet would claim photos of Draymond Green’s mother, aunt and sister were actually his girlfriend.  But we knew better. We even posted a public service announcement to make sure that you weren’t fooled.

But, Draymond Green’s girlfriend was once mentioned in an ESPN article about the news conference announcing his new contract. After winning a championship, the Warriors rewarded him with a five-year, $82 million contract. The article mentioned that his mother was crying, while sitting next to his “girlfriend, best friend and agent”.  So we know that she existed, we just needed a name before we were willing to take it to you, our dear reader.

Draymond Green’s girlfriend Jelissa Hardy is Discovered

Thanks to the San Diego Union Tribune, we were finally able to find a name for Draymond Green’s girlfriend – Jelissa K. Hardy.  The problem here is that shortly after finding Jelissa Hardy, the internet declard her to be his wife.  Not so fast, folks.

Draymond Green’s “wife” is originally from Woodbridge, VA. Jelissa went to high school with Draymond at Heritage High School in Saginaw, Michigan – though we aren’t sure if she was Draymond’s girlfriend at the time. She attended Michigan State University with Draymond, where she earned a degree in English.

Jelissa doesn’t appear to be using her English degree these days, at least not as far as the Internet is concerned.  She has a Model Mayhem portfolio though it hasn’t been active since 2010. She now resides in Oakland, CA where she recently joined Jamz Trainings, which promises to provide a “full body boot camp style workout”.

Jelissa has appeared in public with Draymond many times, most notably at a Nickeloden Kids’ Choice event.  She also went with Draymond, Steph Curry and his wife to see Seth Curry and his Erie Bayhawks play against the Iowa Energy during the 2015 NBA D-League Showcase.

One final note that we find entertaining. The Internet has collectively decided to misspell the name of Draymond Green’s wife. It’s actually pretty impressive how many variations we were able to find. Julissa, Jalisa, Jallisa were all found on sites of varying credibility.

Draymond Green’s wife Jelissa Hardy gave birth to Draymond Jamal Green, Jr. on December 22nd, 2016 at 3:55 AM PST. Steve Kerr did his best to get Draymond to stay home for the birth of his son.  But, the team was on a road trip during the birth. Draymond skipped the next game against Brooklyn to fly home and be with Jelissa and Dray Jr.   He wrote a very touching Instragram post, thanking his wife and daughter, Kayla, for being “soldiers” throughout the process.

Isaiah Thomas’ wife Kayla Wallace is the mother of their son Jaden. It appears to me that the couple is in fine form and really enjoying themselves and their life together. Since Isaiah was traded to the Boston Celtics, they all picked up and moved to Boston. Kayla posted pictures of them driving from Phoenix. Now that’s a long drive with a young son.

She also posted a few pictures of Jaden saying goodbye to his friends at school. That’s got to be tough for a kid. They seem to be the kind of couple that loves to be together as much as possible. Isaiah also has another son named James who lives with his ex-girlfriend in Washington, and by all accounts he goes to see him frequently and often. I get the impression Isaiah is a pretty good dad for being a professional athlete and such a young guy.  At least Denver is a little closer than Boston was.

Isaiah Thomas’ wife Kayla Wallace may have never had the time to start up a career of her own, but even though she’s really busy as a mom, she could easily be a well-paid model, as I see it. She’s got that warmness about her, and she’s just really nice looking. I kind of got hypnotized looking at her Instagram pictures; I’ll sheepishly admit it. She seems to spend a good amount of time actually looking after Isaiah’s other son too. Jaden spends a lot of time with him.

Kayla also goes to all of the Floyd Mayweather fights with Isaiah. They’ve posted pictures of themselves attending the last couple of them. I’ve checked ticket prices for these fights (since I myself am a fan) and the cheapest tickets usually go for around $1200 a pop, and I’m curious whether the couple will be going to see Mayweather and Pacquiao. My guess is they will definitely not miss it, since they appear to be fans.

After a long courtship, the couple married in August of 2016. Many of Thomas’ teammates attended the ceremony, including Jae Crowder and Amir Johnson. Both of those men wore sunglasses in their photo booth pictures – and let me tell you, they looked dope.

Isaiah Thomas’ sister Chyna Thomas died in a car accident the day before the first game of the Celtics 2017 playoff run. The 22 year old died instantly when her car jumped a jersey barrier and crashed into a post.

Jaylen Brown’s girlfriend Jacqueline Hawileh started turning heads around the 2019 NBA All Star Weekend.

Now, we’re not saying that Jaylen Brown’s girlfriend was at All-Star weekend, because of course, Jaylen wasn’t there either.  But right after that break, he was elected as VP of the NBAPA.  With that election came a little more national publicity, and with that, the bells went off.  The usual sites SportsGossip.com and TerezOwens were first with the details.

The woman reported to be Jaylen Brown’s girlfriend is a celebrity in her own right.   We’ll touch on why we say reported in a moment.  Jacqueline Hawileh is an Instagram model claiming 18,000 followers.   She is not prolific spamming and flooding Instagram with new posts.  It’s kind of a nice change of pace from the average Instagram model.  She does love a good IG story, but hey, who doesn’t??

There’s not a ton of evidence about the two of them as a couple.   Like we mentioned, there was first news of this around the All Star break.  But beyond that not a ton.  Jacqueline does have one post where she’s posing from outside a lower level tunnel at a Celtics game.  But that’s about the extent of it.

SportsGossip was tipped off to the relationship, and has one shot of the two of them partnered up.

Hey, you say reported.  What’s up with that?

Right.  We’re not entirely sure this relationship exists now, existed then, or ever existed at all.  That cuts both ways.  It may have for sure.  But, it’s impossible to tell.  This is hung up on one reader tip to a sports blog, and one picture together.  And, maybe one Celtics game she went to.  They both have a carefully manufactured social media presence, likely either guided, or straight up managed by a third party.  Neither has any evidence of the other, outside of reciprocating follows.  Jacqueline’s Facebook lists her a single, so that can’t be completely ignored.

Are they together?  We certainly can’t tell for sure.

2018 – ____ : Ben Simmons’ girlfriend Kendall Jenner

Ben Simmons and Kendall Jenner began dating in 2018.  Though their time together has been short lived, there have been plenty of paparazzi shots of the pair.  They were first seen together over the summer, though were rumored to have called it off when Simmons headed back East for the season.  Things are pretty clearly heating up again.  The pair has been spotted out together, with multiple reports coming about their status.  Some reports suggest that the pair is getting very serious, and plan to spend New Years Eve together.  Jenner is also reportedly getting close to Simmons mom.  If that ain’t serious, I sure don’t know what is.

Rumors started swirling as the 2019 playoffs tipped off that these two may have called it splits.  But, the genesis and validity of these reports is difficult to determine.  There are plenty of Sixer fans who seem to blame any and all struggles on the Kardashian,… Wishful thinking.

2017-2018: Ben Simmons’ girlfriend Tinashe

Gonna be totally honest here.  We missed this one.   Simmons and Tinashe apparently dated earlier this year, but broke up.  And, if online reports are any semblance of honest, Tinashe had a tough time accepting the split.  Reports seem to suggest that  Tinashe cannot handle the breakup, and coincidentally showed up wherever Simmons and Jenner were.  From the Mercury News:

Tinashe’s tendency to be up at the same Los Angeles-area events — at least three times in the past month — has become problematic enough that the Philadelphia 76er has hired extra security, TMZ and other outlets have reported. TMZ said Simmons believes the “All Hands on Deck” singer has become “obsessed” with him after he dumped her for Jenner.

An insider told TMZ in early July: “Ben is convinced Tinashe cannot accept the fact he ended their relationship and has moved on with Kendall. He believes she’s showing up to keep tabs on him so she can see if there’s a chink in the armor between him and Kendall.”

If that’s true?  Yikes.

2017:  Ben Simmons’ girlfriend Dylan Gonzalez

Ben Simmons’ girlfriend Dylan Gonzales is an Instagram star in the million follower club.   The business of social media modeling and advertising is also a lot more work than you might imagine. It’s important to note right off the bat that Dylan is a twin. Her twin sister is named Dakota. They are basketball stars at UNLV.

The first time Ben Simmons’ girlfriend showed up on his timeline was August 21, 2017. That means they started to date fairly recently. Generally speaking, girlfriends of athletes make their social media debut a few months into the relationship. I’m not going to attempt to peg the start of their dating, though. Speculation about high-profile relationships is folly. You can actually add in the futile attempt to figure out if they’re still together.  The social media scrub is on, and neither one appears on the other’s feed.  Subterfuge to hide, or the 2017 version of a public break?  Tough to say.

I will say, however, Drake took major interest in the Gonzales twins. He showed up to watch them play back in November of 2015. The team apparently won by 70 points but he stayed until the end. How about that? I scratch my head and say “hmm” sarcastically.

I should probably also briefly mention Ben Simmons’ social media dispute with his sister. It’s just your typical young kids squawking like children publicly rather than speaking to each other face to face. Ben’s sister claimed he turned his back on her. She also said money doesn’t change people but reveals them. Don’t ask me about the details because I don’t know them. No casual observers do. All they saw was two kids sniping each other from their phone screens. I bet you Ben Simmons’ girlfriend Dylan knows what it’s all about though!

2016: Ben Simmons’ ex-girlfriend Brittany Renner

Back before Dylan, Ben Simmons’ girlfriend was Brittany Renner.  She is a famous Instagram personality in her own right. She’s got over 1.5 million followers, and she is hot business.  She has a killer body, and is not afraid to show off.  She has some very definite thoughts about hair as well.  “I believe hair is your pride, a form of art, and should be respected as so”.   She offers a discount code for a hair product that she’s hawking. She’s making those Instagram advertising bucks! Can’t fault her for that.

This story broke with a simple picture of Ben Simmons’ girlfriend at an arena entrance. TerezOwens.com was first with the story. You might remember Brittany from October of 2015.  At that time, we were talking about  her relationship with Colin Kaepernick.  The media likes to say she claimed he got her pregnant, but I’m 90% she was just making a joke to get attention. It’s not like she said “I’m filing a lawsuit for child support”.   I remember enjoying her sense of humor last year, and she certainly knows how to turn heads.  Also, she has her own clothing line, and she consistently reps hair products.

One of Brittany’s favorite social media moves is to turn her bikini upside down so it shows more of her breasts.  But that is NOT a complaint.  Because, like I said, she knows how to turn heads. But, I’ll be very curious to see how long Ben Simmons’ girlfriend stays attached to him. If I’m totally honest, I think he’ll drop her within a few months. Hey, if he turns out to be not such a big star, maybe he’ll want to marry her! But, she does have a fun personality. She even does video trivia sessions where she asks fans what she was wearing at certain points in her social media timeline. Seems like a clever way to keep people engaged.

Damian Lillard’s girlfriend Kay’la Hanson is very proud of her boyfriend.

One could make the easy leap that the couple met at college, as Lillard played his college ball for the Weber State Wildcats.  Of course, all of this was before the Blazers took him with the 6th overall pick in the 2012 draft.  Lillard immediately took over in the Pacific Northwest, but is still working to make a bigger name for himself to the rest of the country.  And launching a game winning 40 foot three pointer to close a playoff series will certainly help.

Long before she had Tristan Thompson’s baby, Khloe Kardashian dated James Harden in 2015-2016.   The couple did a solid job keeping things under wraps for a while, but with both of their paparazzi followings, folks were bound to find out eventually.  Khloe is one of a very small group of people in the world whose star may shine brighter than Harden’s.  I mean, do I need to give you her resume.  She’s crazy famous from the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s.  From an outsiders perspective, she seems to have wound up the most normal one from the show.  She’s certainly trying to branch out, appearing in various TV projects (plus a dope interview on The Howard Stern Show).

Things didn’t work out for her on this relationship, but she managed to make things work with Tristan.  And, she took the dude back after a very public cheating controversy.

In the world of social media modeling.  MediaTakeOut first noted the couple together in January 2017.  This came on the heels of his split from Khloe Kardashian.   Jessyka regularly sponsors various makeup and hair salons. If she continues to gain followers she will continue to catch deals. Since she appears to know exactly what kind of photos her followers enjoy, she continues to post them. After a look over her social media photo feed, she doesn’t actually represent many brands yet since it’s difficult to gain sponsorships. The world of social media influencers is very competitive.

Now, this one is a little weird.  Amber Rose, of modeling, video vixen, and acting fame, was very public about their relationship.  Except that she wouldn’t call it a relationship,… sorta?  Prior to the 2015 All-Star weekend, Amber went on Power 105 and said they have a special friendship, but that she “hasn’t gotten the D yet.”  Some could argue that no James Harden opponent on the floor has ever seen D from him either.  Get it.  Basketball puns!

Anyways, Rose made it clear that the door was open for physicality to enter the picture, saying “Valentine’s day is tomorrow … if he acts right”.  Amber and James both clearly moved on from each other.  But their special friendship sure sounded fun while it lasted.

Color us surprised.  We’d never heard of this one till tonight.  Apparently in 2014, Tahiry Jose took a picture with Harden at a club, and people put these two together.  For those that don’t know, including us 12-15 minutes ago, Tahiry Jose is a reality star from Love & Hip Hop. And look, we’re clearly the outliers here.  Tahiry has nearly 2,000,000 followers on Instagram.  She has almost a dozen non-reality credits to her name, so clearly pays the bills working as an actress.  Jose had a relationship with rapper Joe Budden immediately preceding this alleged relationship.

This one appears to have flamed out with the same minimal fanfare that it started.  Whether or not it was anything more than an incidental encounter or two is beyond us.

From 2013-2015, James Harden’s girlfriend was Sarah Bellew.  Before asking if you should know who Sarah Bellew is, we’ll let you know now.  Yes.  She’s no stranger to dating in a public setting, as she was engaged to Lil Wayne for 5 months after years of dating.  She is the mother to Weezy’s son Dwayne Michael.

As for Harden and Bellew.  There’s not a ton of information about their time together.  It’s fairly consistently reported they were together from 13-15.   But beyond that, not much else.   Some sites refer to her as a radio personality, but there’s not much else out there to back that up.

Eric Bledsoe’s wife Morgan Poole began dating him all the way back in high school.  And judging by her social media, she’s loved every minute. Eric proposed in 2016. What do you guys think she said to that charming young fellow.

Duh.  The post is about Eric Bledsoe’s wife, so….

She said yes!  On July 1, 2017, they wed in their hometown of Birmingham Alabama.  Eric and Morgan have two kids, Ethan and Ariana.   Even at five years old, Ariana could rattle off some mean back flips!  Ethan was born around 2015.   This is a cool family, and Morgan seems like an incredible mom.  Hell, she just seems like a cool person. Maybe that’s why Eric dropped the knee!

Eric Bledsoe’s mother and sister keep him grounded, and he confirms that on social media.  Add in Eric Bledsoe’s wife, and you’ve got yourself three ladies that will give you real talk. Millionaire basketball players lose their way sometimes, but a loving voice helps them along. Eric’s mother tells him what’s what, and she gets along real well with Morgan. Eric’s mother has known Morgan for years, and they’ve got a good history. Eric has nothing but great things to say about Morgan, and he told her “keep being the best” just a few months ago. They’re clearly best friends.  And Eric Bledsoe isn’t shy to say as much on social media too. In addition, they’re always smiling!

The actual dropping of the knee that I referred to earlier happened in mid August of 2016, and it appeared to have occurred outside in a driveway. Eric didn’t choose the most romantic of settings, but that’s because he’s a low key kind of guy. He also appears to be a great father, and he takes his kids everywhere. Eric Bledsoe’s wife Morgan is really happy about that, and you would be too if you were married to a pro baller. I knew about their daughter being good at back flips after he took her to a trampoline place. He posted a video of her showing off. These guys are going to be a solid family, but I wonder if they will continue to have kids.  No matter how much money you make, kids will wipe ANYONE out.

Nikola Jokic’s girlfriend Natalija Macesic lives in Denver with him.

But, she’s an international traveler!

She traveled to London with Nikola while his Denver Nuggets took on the Indiana Pacers there. Games in London are not uncommon in 2017’s NBA. However, logistically they are still too difficult for a full-time team to establish a presence. Anyway, Nikola posts some pretty funny pictures of Natalija. He smooshes her face like a small cute dog and comments in Serbian, presumably about how cute she is. She travels everywhere with him when she can, and they routinely go to Serbia to relax and enjoy their home country. Of course, when the season is on, they don’t go there.

Natalija also participates in excellent karaoke for social media. They posted a video of them lip-syncing a Serbian version of a Beach Boys song. It was a splendid performance. Clearly, they enjoy a good laugh because they are funny in that video. In March of 2015, Nikola Jokic’s girlfriend hosted some kind of booth for a physical therapy company. Maybe she worked for the company in Serbia before she moved to the States. The couple almost certainly started to date in high school. Nikola’s photos of them together date back to when he was around 18 years old.

Nikola refers to Natalija as “Ljubav,” which means love. Nikola Jokic’s girlfriend is obviously very important in his life because they stay together through thick and thin. It’s also nice to have someone that speaks your native language. Their photos on social media date all the way back to June of 2013. That means they were together at the age of eighteen. Thus, Natalija serves as a strong support. It’s critical for Nikola to have a good support system because he’s not from here. He feels thankful and happy Natalija can live with him in Denver. I think they both miss their family too.

Kawhi Leonard’s girlfriend Kishele Shipley moved from California to San Antonio for the big fella’ around December of 2014. Their new life together is starting to get real. This is NOT one of those scenarios where we tell you Kishele Shipley is NOT Kawhi Leonard’s girlfriend

If you remember your PlayerWives.com history, we once wrote about some chick not being his girlfriend back in June of 2014. A picture of him comparing hand size to a girl went sort of viral, and people ran with it.  When we denounced that it really wasn’t her, we didn’t have anyone who backed up as the official girlfriend. We said we’d keep you posted about girlfriends cropping up in that article.  So we’re here now to inform you. Also, part of the purpose of that post was to marvel at the size of the guy’s hands.  I mean have you seen them?  It’s insane.  His hands are absolutely gigantic. You’d think he has some kind of weird hand disease based on the size of them because each finger is like an extra limb. Anyway, those hands now associate exclusively with Miss Shipley. Kawhi Leonard’s girlfriend is from San Diego, and they met while Kawhi was attending SDSU.

So what does the ultra private Kawhi Leonard do with his girlfriend?

One thing we can tell you about the activities these two engage in (since the rest of the internet seems to know next to nothing) is that they do go out to clubs and dance and do all that fun early-stage relationship stuff. They’re not complete hermits like everyone on the internet seems to think. Yes, they’re both relatively shy, but it’s more about them not wanting to talk with people they don’t already know (like fans and the media) rather than them being misanthropic. You’ve got to appreciate sports couples like this because they’re not into the spotlight. Kishele is mostly a home body, though, and the same could be said of Kawhi. Kishele has taken a recent interest in home decoration and design, saving all kinds of interior ideas on her Pinterest account. It can certainly be said that she has big plans for her and Kawhi making a happy home together!

Did Kawhi Leonard’s girlfriend give birth?

In October of 2016, in a passing moment, ESPN sort of spilled the news on two fronts.

Off the court, Leonard’s role has changed, too, as his fiancée gave birth to a daughter.

“It’s just a great feeling, once you have a child,” Leonard said.

A sixth Spurs championship might bring about similar emotions.

So, how about that?  Not only did Kawhi become a father, but he also got engaged.  The lack of news about either of these topics is astounding, and amazing.  There wasn’t much said about it after this article.  But, a video of Kawhi enjoying his daughters first birthday party leaked in July, 2017.  Kawhi looked like he was enjoying life.  And hey, why shouldn’t he?  An 8 figure contract, a world championship, and a great family?  Kawhi Leonard is living the dream.

Kyle Lowry’s wife Ayahna Cornish-Lowry seems to be living her best life.

Play this out for a moment.

First and foremost, it seem like they have an awesome relationship. They have two cool kids who definitely capture the hearts of Kyle’s social media followers.  But, Kyle is lucky enough to have a built in training partner at home.  Imagine being a professional NBA point guard, AND being married to a woman who could reasonably compete with you in a game of one-on-one. That’s right, Ayahna Lowry (formerly Ayahna Cornish) was a serious court talent in her own right.

The pair met and began dating during their time at Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia.   Ayahna set the all-time scoring record at Cardinal Doughterty.  After a stellar high school career, Ayanha took her talents to St. Josephs.  While Kyle grew as a college baller at Villanova,  Ayahna was scoring 1600 points at St. Joseph’s.  She led her squad as captain and being named SJU MVP. She continued dominating the hardwood, until an ACL injury took her junior season.  Ironically her ACL injury struck right as Kyle’s ACL injury hit as well.  At least they could rehab together.

After school, the paid continued on their dominating path.  They have two sons.  Kameron was born on July 15, 2015, and their older son Karter is already a mini star in his own right.  Both kids will be endowed with superhuman basketball genes, and will likely become hyper-talented hoops prodigies.  But, Karter is a press conference darling.  When he hits the post-game podium with dad, people usually seem to stop paying attention to the Raptors point guard.  If this were all a giant diversion, then Lowry is a genius.

Kyle Lowry’s wife, and the Lowry Love Foundation.

Kyle and Ayanha founded the Lowry Love Foundation in 2013.  Their non-profit aims to help people, and specifically kids, in need.  The foundation focuses it’s efforts in the two towns Kyle calls home.  The Lowry Love Foundation has operations in Toronto and Philadelphia.  Ayanha states their mission statement on the website:

“Through this foundation, our mission is to touch the lives of the underprivileged and disadvantaged in order to promote their attainment of a better quality of life.
