What’s up with these college kids have three names these days? They think they’re so special. Well, Willie Cauley Stein’s girlfriend Kelsey Brooks thinks he’s a special dude, and she herself is a college baller from Arkansas.

Kelsey’s been playing basketball for fourteen years of her life, and she’s currently entering her junior year at Arkansas, from what I understand. She was born in 1995, making her about twenty years of age, and she said she was planning on majoring in sports management in an Arkansas news article. Willie Cauley Stein’s girlfriend Kelsey Brooks said of her sport: “basketball is a part of me. Without basketball I lose a big part of myself. It helps me relieve stress, release anger, and just stay active and fit.” Well there you have it, folks. She’s also a fairly avid reader, and she describes herself as competitive, independent, and fun. She also says that she is “extremely afraid of worms.” No fishing for Kelsey, I guess.

Kelsey has big plans of being in the WNBA, but Willie Cauley Stein relayed a story about his high school sweetheart’s basketball career in high school; saying that she was forced to sit out for a year because she tore her ACL. He said his girlfriend and Kelsey’s mom were telling him things could be worse than they were when Willie was forced to sit out last year. Well these days things are looking alright for Kelsey, and her twitter feed shows how she’s been following the NBA finals as well. She’s also apparently a big fan of the Arkansas Hogs baseball team, and she posts about how proud she is of them often. She’s also one of those pop culture followers who manages to tweet about pretty much everything happening in in Hollywood and with famous people. She seems to also be a big fan of Kim Kardashian. Nobody’s perfect, right?

Trey Lyles’ girlfriend Olivia Jester is your typical soccer-loving Wildcat, meaning she’s on the Kentucky soccer team and partakes in activities one would find normal for a college student. Lots of happy, fun-loving get-togethers with her soccer pals, and plenty of sporting events of the Kentucky varietal.

Olivia has not been dating Trey very long. She was previously dating a guy who looked like a smaller version of Trey but wasn’t him. I think this lasted up to about early 2014, and she seems to have met Monsieur Lyles around the summer of that year. The first time he was mentioned on any of her social media was her wishing him a happy birthday in November of 2014. So this is a new thing. Trey Lyles’ girlfriend Olivia Jester may have some hard lessons about what it is to be with a professional athlete coming up. We’ll see if they manage to stick it out together. Being young, rich, famous, and frequently traveling to cities where your girlfriend isn’t can be a real test.

Most of Olivia’s friends are sports colleagues, and she hangs out with her teammates a great deal off the field. 2015 is her senior year and she’ll be graduating soon. She managed to start every game of her college career. She’s also part of the legion of young women who worship the Kardashians for looking pretty. In a question of who would she want to see in concert she answered: “The Kardashians? I know they don’t sing but they are definitely on top of my list to see, even if they were to put on a concert.” Booo plain vanilla Jane! She says her dream job is to be a dolphin trainer, which reminds me of another recent playerwife– Sepp Blatter’s ex-wife Graziella Bianca– who was an actual dolphin trainer.

Cameron Payne’s girlfriend Katie Shinkle has been dating him since November 18 of 2013. I know this because she has it as her status on Twitter. Like most very young girls who are swept up in a high-status relationship, Katie’s life revolves around Cameron. She’s a young princess type with high expectations, and she’s quite cute when she talks about what she wants out of men and what she looks for in a guy– posting several all-too-precious examples of what melts her heart.

Katie is also the most comprehensive twitter user I’ve seen in many a moon. She manages to rapid-fire tweets (mostly about her boyfriend) at a rate that puts most young people to shame (or shames her depending on how you view tweeting). In order for Cameron Payne’s girlfriend Katie Shinkle to write as many tweets as she does, she’d have to be stopping whatever she was doing and looking down at her phone to compose them at least twice an hour. She averages about 16 tweets per day, but I suppose she may just be on a hot streak, and a lot of them are retweets of other people’s thoughts so I guess it’s not too much of a time commitment. One of the most interesting of her own tweets was:

When men don’t realize is what you do to a girl in a current relationship molds her future ones…These men are what makes it hard to love.”

This is some real cry-me-a-river material. The young whippersnapper is trying on some homemade “kicking-knowledge boots.”

Like every 20 year-old girl with a basketball boyfriend, Katie idolizes Steph Curry’s relationship and sees it as a “goal.” I always wonder what Curry’s wife thinks of this. I think, realistically, it will be hard to keep this one together. The NBA life is brutal on ladies but if Katie is really up for it (and she most certainly seems to be) then she can give it a whirl. She has said “I can’t wait to marry my best friend.” There’s a certain innocent naivete about a lot of her posts that I find endearing. It trends toward the modern young person’s mantra that good intentions and positive thinking alone can shape one’s life.

Myles Turner’s girlfriend Franchesca graduated in May of 2014 and documented parts of her graduation on Instagram. She is a proud Puerto Rican and is obviously excited about Myles’ prospects for the NBA. At one time Franchesca even played basketball at Euless Trinity High School in Texas. I’m pretty sure that’s one of those high schools that takes football insanely seriously as well, in case you were wondering where to find good high school football players, but that’s neither her nor there.

So we have another huge fan of Kim Kardashian here as well. I think young people see her as a 21st century Marilyn Monroe or something (even though she doesn’t do anything). Myles Turner’s girlfriend Franchesca frequently posts tweets and pictures of her because, you know, she doesn’t get enough attention from the media. But that’s her prerogative, of course. Other important life moments tweeted by Franchesca include “literally don’t remember the last time my phone was at 100%”. That one actually got favorited twice. Like most people, she’s also a fan of Steph Curry and his family, and who isn’t really? She’s also got a job somewhere but I’m not sure where. She was talking about not having school but having to start work at 8.

Myles Turner’s girlfriend Franchesca is wondering if she’ll live in Texas for the rest of her life. I can answer that question for her: if Myles gets drafted (and he will) and you are still dating him (and you will be) you will have to decide if you want to move with him (and you will). There’s very little chance he’ll be drafted by a Texas team, but it’s still a possibility. In that case, I’d say Franchesca is either out of luck or in luck depending on how she views her home state. I think she probably holds Texas in high regard but is curious about seeing more of the country. Franchesca’s favorite musician is a fella’ by the name of Dom Kennedy, and she attends his concerts whenever she can.

Montrezl Harrell’s girlfriend Randi Ewing is indeed the daughter of Patrick Ewing, and she completed her masters in communications from Louisville after graduating from Fordham here in New York City. I’ve been reading her blog, and it’s mostly about her studies from college in communications and how to reach people via social media in business.

Apparently back when the 2012 Olympics were happening Montrezel Harrell’s girlfriend Randi Ewing got to travel to London and work as a production assistant for NBC. That’s certainly a nice start to a broadcast journalism career. I know a few player wives and girlfriends in the past have gotten their degree in broadcast journalism and then seemed to have trouble knowing what to do next. Becoming a production assistant is what I would call a the perfect move in that field. Before Randi started doing stuff in the real world, though, she was a killer volleyball player. Apparently at both Fordham and Louisville she was known for blocks. Blocks in volleyball is just when you stuff the ball back in the other team’s zone after they try to hit it into yours. She was only the fourth player in Fordham history to record 300 blocks, and she didn’t even play her freshman year because of a shin injury.

I also read Randi’s post about her trip to Nevada. She comes off kind of whiny in the first part because she’s complaining about air travel and how her flight (presumably with Montrezl) was cancelled. Sorry, Randi, but airlines suck. You should know that by now. After they managed to jump on another flight and get to Nevada, they went to Las Vegas and then the Grand Canyon. Apparently Randi really dug the canyon. She said, “Seeing the Grand Canyon was literally the most humbling and amazing experiences I have had in my lifetime. Seeing something that large and naturally made really makes you feel small in the scheme of things and very appreciative.”

Chandler Parsons’ girlfriend Toni Garrn is a pretty big name model who has previously dated Leonardo Dicaprio. She has a pretty memorable face, and it’s very symmetrical and, of course, pleasing to the eye. She and Chandler were spotted on the streets of Manhattan holding hands and kissing, and she went ahead and posted the picture of them kissing on her Instagram to keep things transparent or whatever. Why go to TMZ when you can just look at her own pictures, right?

Toni holds court with other big name models, including Marko Jaric’s ex-wife Adriana Lima. You see them hanging out at fashion events on the red carpet. Chandler Parsons’ girlfriend Toni Garnn is kind of a big deal in the fashion world, because she takes pictures with big designers as well. Karl Lagerfeld took some pics with her. It may be that she was modeling some of his clothes. She’s super tall and has the perfect modeling body. She has two Instagram accounts– one where it’s all portfolio work, and the other is her more personal moments where she’s just snapping photos like us mortals. She seems to have a really good sense of humor too. She does a lot of jokey type stuff with videos like lip-sync from cartoons. It looks like she does a good amount of charity work too, but I’m a little confused about what charities they are– something having to do with AIDS I think?

Toni’s also been on the cover of Vogue, and that’s essentially the Mt. Olympus of being a model. Once you’re on the cover of that magazine, you’re like a goddess. She seems to take it in stride. She’s also been on the cover of Bazaar– another huge modeling accomplishment. I watched Toni do one of those yoga things where you do a handstand and then walk up the wall and walk down. It looks like good exercise. What else can I say about this woman? It’s Toni Garrn, people. She’s a quintessential super model.

Another day, another girl taking a sleeping bed shot and posting it on Instagram. Farrah Flossit, who clearly would like the title of James Harden’s girlfriend recently posted a photo of herself just having awoken in the early hours next to a sleeping James Harden. We’re using the term “girlfriend” pretty loosely here, I think, but Farrah seems to have cozied up enough to earn it. I don’t really struggle with why some women take these sleeping shots. It’s a trophy, and they must sense they won’t be around for too long so they figure they’ve got nothing to lose.

Farrah herself seems to like hip hop and rapping. She asks people to send her beats to her email so she can come up with different rhymes. James Harden’s “girlfriend” also considers herself something of an Instagram model, posing nude and covering her private area with her hand. She also has a few tattoos which some have called “kiss lips near the kitty.” They’re the marks made from kissing with lipstick on. There’s a ton of not-so-nice comments made on Farrah’s Instagram account, and I think she sort of courts controversy with the selection of photos she chooses to post. One commenter says “Like word James Harden, c’mon man. This ugly ass thirst trap. I know you hit 3’s on the court; but off too. Shake my head…” People can be mean, Farrah.

Farrah seems to breed a lot of anger on the internet, but she seems harmless enough, if you ignore her strange pictures lying in bed licking the barrel of a revolver. Like I said, Farrah enjoys courting controversy. It’s not the 1950’s– she’s free to do what she pleases.

Another day, another new James Harden lady. You thought we were kidding about that? James Harden’s girlfriend Khloe Kardashian is well known for being on the show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. I’ve not seen one episode of it, but it’s always sounded awful, and that’s why I’ve never had any interest. And before we get too deep into this one, lets put that girlfriend tag into context. TerezOwens.com and OK Magazine were the first to this one, noting that Harden and Kardashian flew to Hawaii together, and while they are “dating,” they are both working to keep it under wraps for now.

Of course, we know about Khloe’s past relationship with Lamar Odom. Didn’t Lamar run into addicition issues with crack? I seem to remember seeing a video of him supposedly high and singing with another dude. Anyway, Khloe has moved on from crack and is now addicted to men who have a new girlfriend every few weeks. James Harden’s girlfriend Khloe Kardashian is known for being fairly tall: 5’10” to be precise. That is not a problem for Harden, who is 6’5″. I sort of wonder why women think Harden is attractive because of his cloud-like beard and why men think Khloe is attractive because of her general awkward appearance, but then I remember they’re both rich and famous.

I suppose now I also understand why James Harden’s other “girlfriend” Farrah Flossit took the picture of him in the bed. It’s because she wanted to ruin his new relationship with Khloe since she knew she’d never be able to have him. It’s just as I had foreseen (chuckles like Emperor Palpatine). I mean, Farrah poses for pictures in bed with handguns in her mouth; Khloe would never do that. You might even say she posed with her side piece. I’m not exactly sure what Khloe does during the day. Based on tabloids, she walks around rich California neighborhoods and gets photographed by papa razzi. There’s also a clothing company called Dash which I guess the Kardashians have something to do with, but I honestly don’t care. I’ll be honest: I have a general dislike of Kim and Kanye (Kim for being so overexposed and Kanye for being such a narcissistic sourpuss) so having so much to do with them generally puts me at odds with Khloe.

Larry Nance Jr.’s girlfriend Hailey Pince is a very pretty, young model who is moving with young Larry to Los Angeles. They both attended good ‘ole Wyoming as athletes, and Hailey has been a talented swimmer since high school. It appears that she may have been on scholarship to attend Wyoming, but don’t quote me on that. Prior to attending Wyoming, Hailey was a pretty competitive center for her high school.

That high school was called Rierton High, and it is located in Hailey’s hometown of Shoshoni, Wyoming. Upon graduating high school, Hailey was ranked third in her high school in academics (nice) and already had racked up 30 college credits (nicer), in preparation for a career in chemistry. I’m really curious if Larry Nance Jr.’s girlfriend Hailey Pince still plans to pursue that career. For once, this WAG doesn’t seem like she’s going to just roll the relationship dice and hope to make out like a bandit by marrying young Larry. They are both young and mistakes can be made.

Speaking of mistakes: how about that tweet Larry popped out back in 2012. That’s got to be at least a little awkward calling your future teammate a rapist. Kobe said it’s water under the bridge. He’s probably going to give Larry absolute hell in practice though. We’ve seen how that can be, even when you’ve never tweeted something like that at Mamba.

So things are rolling along well for the couple, and Larry Nance’s girlfriend is a long way from Wyoming. Los Angeles has a lot of pretty people, and she’ll fit right in. It should be a fairly big adjustment though. Based on what Hailey has pinned up online, she’s really into fitness, fashion, a bit of home decoration/design, and then more fashion. I guess these are pretty general interests that most player wives are into. I am wondering where the career in chemistry is fitting into all of that?

Nothing is has been officially confirmed about Becky Hammon’s girlfriend Brenda Milano actually being her girlfriend, but it’s been suspected for years that the two are together and even possibly married. Whether or not that’s true is probably going to remain unknown for quite awhile now that Becky has been hired as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs. If that’s the way they’ve liked to keep their alleged relationship, there doesn’t seem to be any reason why they’d make it publicly official now.

Brenda was the head coach of the women’s team at St. Francis for nine years. She resigned in 2012 with a record of 58-184. Hey, it’s a tough game, and not every coach can have a winning record. The Terriers actually never had a winning season under Milano. I’m not entirely sure what she’s been up to in the past couple years, but she might not want to coach college basketball any more. Becky Hammon’s girlfriend Brenda Milano has been photographed with Becky in what looked to be like gym clothes maybe after a workout? Again, we’re not 100% confident the two are an item because they’re pretty much all business. Becky is extremely busy with her new responsibilities as assistant coach, and she was recently drenched with water and sports drinks after the Spurs won the summer league championship. Granted, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a championship when it comes to the summer league, but if you’re looking to get a permanent job placement on the spurs coaching staff, winning is better than losing.

From the few interviews I’ve seen of Becky Hammon’s girlfriend Brenda Milano, she’s always well-spoken if not a little quiet when it comes to the camera. Back in 2009 she had a lot to say about the prospects of the Terriers while being interview by some kid who was mumbling into the microphone. She talks about the challenges and expectations and all those coaching buzzwords that you always hear after post-game interviews. I wonder if Brenda will live vicariously through Becky now as a coach? My guess is after a 58-184 career, she might not be so into it.

Derek Fisher’s girlfriend Gloria Govan is worth battling for based on what we’ve just heard about. Fisher is the coach of the New York Knicks, and he was confronted a day or two ago by Gloria’s ex-husband, Matt Barnes. Barnes plays for the Los Angeles Clippers, and he was married to Govan for two years (and had twins with her). Matt and Derek were teammates at one time, and now that Matt knows that Derek’s dating his ex, he’s none too pleased. Barnes was facetiming with his 6 year old son Carter, who apparently dropped the dime saying “Mommy’s friend Derek is here.” Barnes apparently spoke with his other son, Isaiah, and was under the impression that the boys were uncomfortable that there was another man there. The story alleges that Barnes texted a friend after he drove there and said, “I kicked his ass from the back yard to the front room, and spit in her face.”

Sometimes you gotta’ get your butt kicked for love, ya’ know? Derek Fisher’s girlfriend is actually on one of those wife shows– Basketball Wives LA. It’s basically a bunch of women yelling at each other incessantly. I was surprised to learn that Gloria is 45 years old. She does not look that age at all. Her skin looks mighty smooth. She must be doing a lot to keep it glowin’ and youthful. Anyway, I don’t know what season of Basketball Wives LA she was on because I couldn’t find her in season four, but I’m sure it was some fine can’t-miss programming. It would’ve been interesting if they’d been filming when Mr. Barnes roughed up Mr. Fisher. I guess the producers stuck with the wrong ladies.

So there’s bound to be some legal proceedings following the incident, as Barnes said he wasn’t really at liberty to comment on anything. The NBA has already launched an investigation, but who knows if that’s the end of it. I’m guessing Derek Fisher’s girlfriend was pretty upset about the whole incident as well. Fisher and Gloria have been dating since the beginning of August, and Barnes said he was at one time pretty good friends with Derek. He also wanted to clarify to the media that it only took him fifteen minutes to drive to Gloria’s house, and it wasn’t 92 miles. I don’t really have an opinion on all of this. I think it’s just one of those things that happens. I will add that Barnes has numerous fines and incidents in his past that suggest he has a hot temper.

Andre Iguodala’s wife Christina Iguodala just married him in August of 2015 where they traveled to Cabo San Lucas, naturally. Geez, I’ve got to get myself to Cabo somehow. Cabo is the number one vacation destination for professional athletes, based on all the vacations I’ve seen pro sports couples take, and I’ve seen more than a few by now. I mean, what is it about this place that’s so great? I guess I should be asking what isn’t great about this place. Cabo’s also close to the States and it makes sense. So Andre, his new wife, and a bunch of Andre’s Warrior teammates all traveled down to Cabo to party and get him hitched. It looked like a good time.

Andre’s a funny guy. He likes to ham it up in pictures and be goofy. Andre Iguodala’s girlfriend posed like a normal person with him in a picture right before they went to the ESPY awards, but he posed like the “Prince of Zamunda,” as he said and tagged the photo with “Mark Jackson Voice” after saying “ride or die.” I guess he narrates his photos the same way Mark Jackson commentates basketball games. I always pictured Andre as a serious dude, but I don’t think that’s the case when it comes to just hanging out. He seems to be a fun guy to be around. When Andre and Christina were in Paris this summer, she snapped a photo of him sleeping in the car they were taking to travel around the city, and later he tagged it by saying “Only sleep been in the car the last two weeks.” I know how that goes.

I’ve got to imagine life with Andre has been pretty darn interesting for Christina this year. After winning the championship, she’s been involved in all kinds of cool, behind-the-scenes VIP kinda’ stuff. She goes with him to all the television appearances (like Jimmy Kimmel or the Today Show) and she got to watch all the Finals games with some real nice seats. Coincidentally, Andre thinks Klay Thompson is a better shooter than Steph Curry, but he said he went cold in the Finals.

Is Kevin Durant’s girlfriend Chantel Jeffries? The woman best known for ​being Justin Bieber’s passenger in his Lamborghini when he got stopped by the cops in Florida. Jeffries has also been linked to both DeSean Jackson and Johnny Manziel. We covered her on both counts when that was going on.

Well, if rumors on TerezOwens.com are true, that’s all done now because she’s found the great Durantula. The couple has been spotted in public together on a few occasions over the summer, but no one officially declared their relationship. I don’t blame Chantel for dating rich celebrities and athletes. If I was a super hot chick I’d probably do the same. Back when she was attached to the Manziel, I said the woman rumored Kevin Durant’s girlfriend “had been doing the groupie thing for awhile.” Though I won’t amend that statement, I will say that she’s built fantastically for the job. She’s young and probably a lot of fun to hang out with. There’s also no chance that she’d date a regular schlemiel like you or I, so at this point it looks like it’s rich and famous or nothing at all for her. I’m trying to empathize here, people.

Anyway, if you ask Kevin Durant, I’m sure he’d say she’s cool. TMZ reports the couple were spotted at OVO Festival, which is a music festival put on by Drake’s label. I’m guessing it’s a lot of warbly bass booms, some vaguely angry shouting at the crowd to get them hyped, and a lot of nobody playing instruments or singing. The photo I saw Chantel in had her looking down at her phone. I’m beginning to think empathizing with her was a bad idea, but that always happens when I see a picture of anyone staring at their phone.

Omri Casspi’s girlfriend Shani Ruderman had to have been in a tough position, which many wives and girlfriends of foreign countries face. A lot of times when you’ve got a transplant athlete from another nation, it can be a bit of a rough landing for their spouse or significant other. Shani herself had to move to the States from Israel in order to accompany Omri after he got hired by the Sacramento Kings. She’s currently living in Los Angeles, according to the Sacramento Bee. The Bee reported that she was a “Los Angeles native” though, and she’s not, so maybe we can’t really trust them on that. They did say that if Omri Casspi stays in Sacramento, then Shani will take the California bar exam since she’s a lawyer.

So I’m feeling that my initial assertion that her moving to the States was a rough landing may have been drastically overstated, because Omri Casspi’s girlfriend Shani Ruderman is really enjoying being here. Casspi said that she’s “loving it here” and that they’re both really excited about the prospect of Omri sticking around. I’ll tell you what else: the couple knows how to get out, travel, and be active. Shani’s photo gives you a sense for the cool lifestyle she’s been living in the past year. While it’s true that much of that was filled with studying the English language at Cal State in Sacramento, a lot of it was also spent going to cool destinations like the Caribbean, hiking and running in Malibu, and vacationing at Lake Tahoe. Pepper in a few trips to New York City (’cause who doesn’t love being here in New York for a few days?) and you’re starting to have a good time.

There’s an extremely glamorous shot of Shani on her Instagram of her riding around Beverly Hills in what appears to be a vintage Shelby Cobra but what is most probably a reproduction of the car. Shani, if this is the lifestyle you’re going for, not only do you need to pass the bar, but Omri’s gotta’ get another deal inked and for more money. Although Omri’s probably already worth like $5 million bucks now that he’s been in the league earning a million-a-year for awhile. Pretty soon she might be able to match him because I get the feeling like she’d make a good lawyer. She seems more than capable.

Well, in case you were wondering if Jonas Jerebko’s girlfriend Johanna Lundback is super hot, I am here to report that yes, she is indeed super hot. Johanna is a top-shelf Swedish model that appears on all kinds of products, magazines, you name it. I just saw a picture of her on some random person’s Twitter feed where she was on a glitter product– you know– like glitter to put on your face. She was the glitter girl! Hey, that’s probably a decent pay day, people. You try telling the company that makes glitter that you can be their cover girl and see how that works out.

There’s a photographer named Preyen Moodley who does photo shoots for various companies (generally bikini wear). Preyen herself is a very attractive woman, and she recently showed off a few shots of Jonas Jerebko’s girlfriend Johanna Lundback. In the photos, Johanna was draped in a sheet, and Preyen made sure to tag them as “no photo shop” and “unedited.” Once again, the extreme hotness of an all-natural Johanna Lundback is fully confirmed. Thanks, Preyen. Johanna certainly doesn’t look like your average Swedish model, either. I’ve seen plenty of Swedish models, and they’re almost always blondes with blue or green eyes. Maybe Johanna has some other ancestry? I don’t know, but I do know she’s getting plenty of gigs.

Jonas Jerebko’s girlfriend Johanna Lundback shares quite a cool lifestyle with the big fella’. They travel extensively, and I know they’ve already visited New York, Jamaica, Seattle, Michigan, Stockholm. The list goes on and on. Jonas wrote a long letter describing his experience so far in the NBA with the Pistons and the Celtics organizations. I swear, Swedes have a better grasp of English than Americans. I joke about this every time, but I’m half-serious. Jonas and Johanna also have two handsome dogs named Hank & Roy. I’m pretty sure if you stand anywhere near this couple, you will become handsome and/or pretty, and that includes canines.

We can imagine that Flip Saunders’ wife Debbie Saunders was blindsided by the recent turn of events in their life. Flip Saunders took a leave of absence from the Timberwolves camp in August to receive treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma. Though this was being called “very treatable and curable” by doctors, Saunders suffered a setback in September, the details of which were not announced.

On Friday, Glen Taylor, the owner of the Timberwolves, announced that Saunders would miss the entire 2015-16 season. But the news of Flip Saunders’ death came as a surprise to everyone and he will be survived by his wife Debbie and their four children: Ryan (a T-Wolves assistant coach), Mindy and twins, Rachel and Kimberly.

Flip Saunders married wife Debbie Saunders on August 19, 1978 when he was just 21. The pair both attended the University of Minnesota, where Flip was on the basketball team and Debbie worked with the spirit squads. Debbie was actually two years older than Flip, so she would have been a senior when he was a sophomore.

Flip Saunders’ son Ryan Saunders, actually an assistant coach with the Timberwolves, gave an interview in 2006 in which he credited his mother Debbie for her strength in keeping the family strong. Debbie Saunders’ strength will be need during this time more than ever.

Oddly enough, though Ryan’s interview was ten years ago, it very much sounds like the following quote could have been in reference to his father’s death:

It’s tough because my dad and I have always been very close, but it isn’t anything that we can’t get through. We still talk every day, so we still remain close even with the distance.

On an related, but interesting note, Flip Saunders’ twin daughters Rachel and Kimberly participated on Star Search when they were 10 years old and are recent National Champs in Jazz and Pom. The pair have won eight National Championships in 4 years for his alma mater at the University of Minnesota. Though I don’t have any idea what Jazz and Pom is, I’m sure the family is very proud. Man, the lights shine bright in LA don’t they? Maybe none brighter than for D’Angelo Russell’s girlfriend Kendall Jenner.

Wait, what?

Well, if the rumors are true, then the Lakers first round pick Russell has hooked on to a gal of Keeping Up With The Kardashian fame. I’ll admit I didn’t know D’Angelo Russell’s girlfriend Kendall Jenner even existed until a few days ago. Some of us have never seen the show about the Kardashians and probably never will, but that’s still a good thing, in my eyes. Who’s going to say this girl’s not an attractive young lady, though? Nobody, and D’Angelo Russell would agree with that. In an interview with American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis, former Sonic Youth bass player and front woman Kim Gordon said she thought celebrity culture had done a kind of 180– going from working as hard as you can to doing as little as possible and still trying to become famous. I can’t say young Kendall’s path to fame (and 40 million+ Instagram followers) doesn’t fit that design.

Speaking of design, the woman rumored to be D’Angelo Russell’s girlfriend has been featured in some pretty impressive modeling contracts recently. That includes some very big names like Vogue and Estee Lauder, so it seems that she’s doing a bit of work now– posing for photographs and parlaying her new-found fame into profitable advertising deals. Kendall describes her “everything goals” with a picture of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. She’s also posted very young pictures of Brad Pitt (likely modeling shots from his formative years) in her social media and simply said “You’re welcome.” Clearly someone’s got a little celebrity crush. As far as her and D’Angelo go, Kendall and D’Angelo were reported to have met over the summer, and she’s been spotted at Lakers games quite regularly for the past few weeks. As of this writing, the Lakers have yet to win a game.

It’s worth mentioning that D’Angelo Russell’s girlfriend Kendall frequently supports her father and has said that he’s her hero many times. The whole transgender thing doesn’t phase her now, and she says she still thinks of her father the same way she did when she was in 5th grade when she said “when I grow up I want to be just like my dad.” Well, now it’ll be a little easier, am I riiiight!? It looks like they all did a fine job in raising young Kendall, and when it comes to mom, she had a huge array of balloons set up in their house that read “I heart Mom” for Mother’s Day. Kendall’s a big fan of her parents.

Kyrie Irving’s girlfriend (actually ex-girlfriend) Andrea Wilson is a former Miss Texas 2010 model, and apparently she’s sort of an Instagram model now. However, she’s about to have their child, and she is already angry about the situation. There’s clearly bad blood somewhere between the two parents-to-be. First off, we should say that they were together as something like a couple around 2013 but are certainly not a couple now. Kyrie filed for legal documents this year to request a paternity test just to make sure that he was the father of the baby. That way, he can pay child support and be actively involved in the kid’s life. I don’t even know how you do a paternity test when the kid is still in the belly, but I guess that’s possible so there ya’ go.

According to Kyrie Irving’s ex-girlfriend Andrea, though, he’s already doing a terrible job. She said that “Kyrie has had no participation. He is only seeking custody to look good for the press.” Her comments do make a lot of sense since you’d want to preemptively get ahead of baby mama drama in that way, but it’s hard to know Kyrie’s position on the other side. Maybe he doesn’t yet have proof that he is the father and can’t yet pay for stuff? I don’t know what his situation is so we’re not going to speculate. Andrea also added: “I’ve paid for and handled everything on my own without any support from him. I have no connection with him nor do I seek any connection to him.” I mean, so maybe the child support only starts after the kid is born? She’s saying here she wants no connection to him, but he’s saying he’d interested in the child. Tough to pick a side, when you’re still trying to sort out the details available to the press.

Anyway, Kyrie Irving’s ex-girlfriend did win the Miss Texas 2010, and she looked pretty nice in her pageant thingy that you get when you win. I wasn’t able to find any pageant footage, and I’m not sure that even exists on the internet but it should. I’m always curious what separates the winner of a pageant from the pack. Is it the talent portion of the competition? There might not actually be a talent portion of the Miss Texas competition. Each state might have their own distinct setup. In Alaska, there might be an igloo-building portion of the competition or some kind of whale-watching portion. It looks like bringing kids into the world thanks to child support also ended up a talent.

It can’t be easy to be D’Angelo Russell… or D’Angelo Russell’s girlfriend for that matter.

Two days ago, the rumor mill started churning fast and furious that D’Angelo Russell’s girlfriend was actually Kendall Jenner. Many sites picked up on the story citing that the Kardashian clan member was spotted around Lakers games and was hanging out with the rookie point guard.

The next day, more rumors began to churn, that D’Angelo’s people haaaaated this news, and were urging D’Angelo to avoid that relationship. With the stories continuing to circulate, rumors have come out (leaked?) as to the identity of D’Angelo Russell’s girlfriend,… and it’s not Kendall Jenner.

Meet Sasha Mandros. According to Terez Owens, who has been on this story since day one, the pair has been hanging out for almost a year. Mandros was on his arm the night the Lakers took Russell in the NBA draft. Mandros is clearly a basketball fan, which would come naturally if you’re dating the biggest young star Los Angeles has seen since Blake entered the league. There’s not a ton more on their relationship (if there even is a relationship, and if we’re going to be be honest, putting these two together isn’t the easiest task by perusing their social media.

Either way, we’re pretty convinced in at least one thing for now. Kendall Jenner is NOT in the picture – for now anyways.

The woman alleged to be Nick Young’s girlfriend (or, ex-girlfriend, we’re not so sure) Donatella Panayiotou enjoys herself some cannabis sativa. There’s a pretty funny picture of her wearing a cannabis-styled sports jersey, sitting down at a table with a glass cake dome filled with the buds of the plant, and there’s still more in a glass dish. I guess self-medicating is her thing, and she seems to have an affinity for quotes about finding peace and not letting things bother her. Any time you see an abundance of these quotes in a sports girlfriend’s profile, it’s generally because there’s some overcompensating going on, and a lot of things probably bother her.

Donatella seems like a sensitive person, and apparently she was quoted as saying “Sex was over really quickly. He’d say, ‘I just need to get used to you.’ That didn’t happen.” Yikes! Still, there’s a possibility that she was misquoted because she later Tweeted “Someone took a pic of us without us knowing and sold it to the tabloids. I got asked for a comment and this is what happened.” Who knows.

Rumors allege that Nick Young’s ex-girlfriend Donatella Panayiotou apparently started dating him shortly after he got engaged to Iggy Azalea, whom we covered back in 2014. There had been rumors of Nick being unfaithful to Iggy before, and this one could be a deal-breaker, though all the money and fame is sure to be hard to break away from.

This is not the first time Donatella has been in the middle of a couple. Back in 2013, Panayiotou sent a letter to a woman named Helen Flanagan whom Americans probably have no clue about but who is well-known in Britain. She had been a couple with a famous footballer named Scott Sinclair, and she received a long letter from Donatella about their encounters. So this is kind of her thing, though it really isn’t her fault that guys in relationships continually want to get with her. It’s just humans being human. Donatella had previously been a British television reporter of sorts for a station called Sky TV (they show F1 races). She’s also been a VJ on MTV, from what I understand. Those are two really cool jobs, and hopefully she’ll get some more gigs of that nature and stay out of the media’s gossip radar.
